Troubleshooting Windows logon problems
The following are methods to troubleshoot sign-in issues on a Windows 11 device, including sign-in issues after upgrading to Windows 11.
If updates are available, select Shutdown > Update and reboot to restart the device and complete the installation of updates.
Make sure you are connected to the Internet by selecting Network on the lock screen of the device. If you're having trouble connecting to your Wi-Fi network or the signal is weak, try connecting your device directly to your router or modem using an Ethernet cable.
If the connection problem persists, check your Internet connection from another device to see if there are network problems.
When entering your login password, try the following:
