Worldwide, Europe, pink giraffe, rosmen-press, Russia

gives such weighty arguments as football or computer games. However, there are still books that can enchant even the most notorious lazy and fidgety people. Maria Ganiyants studied literature for schoolchildren.

Miracle R.J. Palacio (Pink Giraffe Publishing House) is a "must read" book that teaches love, compassion, courage and loyalty in friendship. The main character, 10-year-old August Pullman from New York, looks like abstract portraits of Picasso. Due to a rare disease, everything on his face is not where it should be, and his skin looks like after a terrible burn. And this is after a dozen plastic surgeries. To prevent people on the streets from running away screaming, Augustus wears an astronaut's helmet, which he only parted with at home, among his loving relatives. But when it's time to go to school, August finds himself face to face with a cruel reality, because you can't hide your face behind a bang. And neither the director, nor the teachers, nor mom and dad will be able to protect him from attacks from classmates, only he himself is able to change the situation. The real name of the author is Rachel Jaramillo, she worked as an illustrator for 20 years and this is her first novel, which has already become a bestseller in the USA.

David Williams' book "The Boy in the Dress" is sure to bring readers a lot of fun. Williams is a well-known English comedian, participant in the Little Britain and Rock Profile sketch shows, and an actor who has starred in numerous films and TV series. This story also teaches tolerance and understanding, and the problems that the hero faces are not new: the parents are divorced, the mother ran away from home, the windows in the director's office are still easily beaten by soccer balls, and the adults are so strange and do not understand pranks at all. The book was published in the Hilariously Funny series by Clever, illustrated by Quentin Blake, and translated into Russian by writer and translator Anna Nikolskaya.

Another novelty from the same publishing house is the historical children's fairy tale by Peter Gorelik "Family heirloom" . Gorelik is a Soviet officer who went through World War II, but is better known as a literary critic, a researcher who was personally friends with Slutsky and Samoilov, talked with Pasternak, and wrote this book when he was already 95 years old. "Family heirloom" tells children about the war in the genre of a fairy tale, the narration of which comes from the point of view of a button. Telling in such an unusual way about the history of the country, the author weaves family stories into the book, making it accessible and understandable to children.

"The Big Encyclopedia of Errors" (Clever) is an interesting study by British journalist and writer Clive Gifford, author of more than 100 books, the first of which he published at the age of 17. His encyclopedia debunks common misconceptions, and tells, among other things, that the electric light bulb is not an invention of Edison at all, cockroaches will not survive after a nuclear explosion, and lightning strikes in the same place many times.

New books for the children's library: about shoes and young fashionistas

KompasGid published the first volume of fantasy novel "Toby Lolness" French writer Timothée de Fombel. The book introduces readers to the main character Toby, who is as tall as a pinhead and lives in a huge tree. The world surrounding Toby and his family is also tiny, but real passions boil in it. There is even a prison where Toby's family ends up: his father, a famous scientist who has penetrated deeply into the secrets of the nature of the Tree, discovered that the tree is mortal, and his own technical invention can mortally damage their huge house. That is why he flatly refuses to reveal to everyone the secret of creating a mechanism that can turn tree sap into energy. As a result, the family is accused of "concealing publicly useful information", a secret conspiracy against the inhabitants of the Tree and betrayal, and sentenced to life imprisonment. The task that the little hero faces in this situation is not an easy one: to restore justice and save his relatives and his own world.

The Rosmen publishing house has published the third collection of works by the winners of the annual competition "New Children's Book" - "Modern Writers for Children" . The book includes poems about the sea, swings, sweets and non-flying dogs by Anastasia Orlova and Alexei Eroshin, fascinating stories about animals large and small (kittens, mice, puppies) by Irina Naumova, Yulia Goroshnikova and Tatyana Shiposhina, a funny horror story about ghosts, composed by Natalia Povalyaeva , a story by Yuri Rylsky about flights to the moon and others.

10 books about parenting that all parents should read

How to deal with a difficult child? What should children be taught under the age of three? What mistakes could have been avoided? Raising children is hard work, in which helpers come in handy. Of course, it can be parents, friends or acquaintances. But usually none of them is a recognized expert in child psychology (although they may think otherwise). Therefore, in order to avoid useless advice, it is better to turn to professionals. That is, to psychologists and doctors who write useful books especially for you with an analysis of all sorts of complex issues.

The caring editors of Tlum.Ru have prepared for you 10 books on parenting that all parents should read.

"It's Too Late After 3" (Masaru Ibuka)

Publisher: Alpina non-fiction

The first of them, Japanese, says that "after three it's too late." Namely, it is necessary to teach children everything in the world up to the age of three, because at this age they assimilate information like a sponge. The book will tell you how to make learning stress-free for both kids and parents. Early child development is in your hands.

“Things just start at three. How to raise a child smart and happy ”(Galina Momot)

Publisher: Vector

Galina Momot argues directly with the previous title, because at three everything is just beginning! Despite the fact that both books are devoted to early development methods, here the author talks about a little more adulthood and teaches readers options for play forms instead of hated lessons. At the same time, great attention is paid to such factors as support, uniqueness, motivation, zone of proximal development, self-esteem, respect and control.

“How to solve parenting problems without losing your temper. A book for parents of preschoolers (Marina Aromshtam)

Publisher: Vektor

Psychologist Marina Aromsham answers the most typical, hottest and most difficult questions about raising a preschooler. Here you will find professional advice, life examples, and an analysis of the most frequent conflicts from the “fathers and sons” series. What are the reasons for your child's behavior? Preschool crises are not as bad as they seem, if you have this book.

“Raising a child from 1 to 3 years old. Reboot "(Elizaveta Filonenko)

Publisher: Phoenix

And another book about raising kids. You are dissatisfied (and maybe satisfied) with the way your parents raised you, but you are going to raise yours in a different way. And when you have children... you unconsciously start copying familiar methods. You just don't know how else.

This book will teach you a new approach, help you break free from stereotypes and explain exactly how to interact with your child. A very useful purchase for the home library.

"5 methods of raising children" (Mikhail Litvak)

Publisher: AST, Times 2

Mikhail Litvak - a recognized psychotherapist and author of more than 3 books devoted to this topic education problems. In this book you will find a collection of articles for every taste and color. Here are tips on raising children of different ages, and questions related to communication with educators and teachers, in short - everything that can come in handy if a child is growing up in your family.

But the main theme of the book is love. “Learn to love each other just like that, for nothing,” is what the author advises us. We think this is good advice.

"Big book about you and your child" (Lyudmila Petranovskaya)

Publisher: AST If it is difficult with a child.” The titles speak for themselves, and Petranovskaya's name on the cover adds confidence that the book is a must-read.

How to help a child in a difficult period of growing up and how to act in conflict situations, what is behind children's whims and how to raise a self-confident person - all this and much more in this multifaceted and extensive work.

"Independent child or how to become a 'lazy mother'" (Anna Bykova)

Publisher: Eksmo

Admit it, did the title intrigue you? Or maybe you have already heard about it - after all, a few years ago this book roamed the Internet, acquiring rave reviews. They argued about it and continue to argue until now, since the topic of independence and infantilism of the new generation is one of the most acute in our time.

How to provide conditions for a child to learn to do everything by himself, and for a mother to be a “lazy mother”? Easily! And the book will try to teach you that.

"The most important book for parents" (Julia Gippenreiter)

Publisher: AST, Times 2

Gippenreiter. And if you have not read books such as “Communicate with a child. How?”, “We continue to communicate with the child. So?" and an anthology “To Parents. How to be a child”, then here you will find a summary of the most important tips for new parents. After all, it is no longer possible to communicate and educate the children of the new generation "in the old fashioned way."

How to learn to speak with modern children and how to make children hear you, and not listen? There are answers to these questions.

“100 education errors that are easy to avoid” (Olga Makhovskaya)

Publishing house: EXMO

The most typical mistakes of parents, as well as ways to avoid them or fixed in this book. How to become a friend to a child, but not lose your authority? How to properly respond to whims and blackmail? Here you will find not only a lot of advice, but also cases from life, as well as funny pictures illustrating them.

And all this from Olga Makhovskaya, the author of books and TV shows, who made a huge contribution to the Sesame Street in Russia project.

“How to deal with a child. Guide in 22 episodes and illustrations "(Svetlana Dorosheva)

Publisher: Azbuka

And the last book in our collection - a bonus - with pictures! The author of the book, raising three children, made notes and sketches of what was happening in her family. It is these notes that she invites readers to study. It is recommended for reading not only to parents, but in general to everyone who is in any way in contact with children. Indeed, under this cover it is so clearly written (and drawn) why children lie, act up or be rude.
