Good app!
We have been using homer for almost a year now and I can say my son has absolutely been learning to read because of it. I love how easy it is to use and how clear the directions are, without a lot of distracting pictures or sounds like others learning apps that are difficult to follow for an early reader. I am thankful for the update as my son was getting bored with the same pictures, etc. My only couple of critiques with new update is that the little reader books on the learning pathway seemed to be timed after you tap the record button, so the recorded voice starts to play back before my son has finished reading the sentence. Prior to update you could tap record and drag your finger to follow the words until the end of the sentence (at your own pace). In addition, the new letter tracing lesson doesn’t offer any directions, which is different in the new update. Sometimes the lessons can be a bit repetitive and my son gets frustrated/bored, but we try to move through those ones faster so I can keep him interested. All in all it’s a good app we will continue using. He would not know what he knows now if we had not began using this app, so for that I am grateful!
Thank you for sharing your experience. We are continuously improving Learn & Grow and we rely on feedback like yours to help us do just that.
What’s more than 5 stars
So I read the reviews and I was won over instantly. I downloaded the game and signed up to pay $8 a month to have my son play it after the free trial. Now my son is super hyper and I never let him have screen time but he’s behind in talking and knowing what he needs to know. So I let my son play this game and at first I’m like is he just coloring but they make it fun with puzzles ,coloring, identify the coloring game with ice cream lava for the kids and at first he skipped them reading the abcs now he stands up and dance and sing the abc in his special talk he does and you can hear him pronounce them better. He loves that he can color with the sticker of the hot dog and burger. If I was to make a suggestion that thing that just have the letters go by and it has what the letter start with as it goes by then it sings the abcs at the end make it into a game because my son was trying to touch the letters and identify them as they go by so maybe like a hide and find with other things not like the game with the balloons but like have a farm background with other things and have them identify the letters as they go by and have it go by fast and see how much they can get as it go by I think that would be fun. Thank you so much for helping my son learn in a fun way I have literally told everybody I talk to with kids about this app.
We are thrilled to hear you and your son are loving HOMER Reading. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience, and for spreading the word about HOMER!

All mentions of Apple in "Futurama" and "The Simpsons" (Part 2)
Futurama and The Simpsons - together it's 33 seasons, which, gentlemen, Yabloko, are full of mentions of Apple! You've probably seen a few of them, but Tuaw author Yoni Heisler found ALL of them... or almost all of them. If you remember something that he missed - you are welcome in the comments and ... we continue our exciting journey!
Part 1.
14. Futurama - Clockwork Origin. Season 6 episode 9.
A nod to the iPad - a tablet called iFad. By the way, the name of the newspaper is USB Today.
15. The Simpsons - Thursdays with Abie. Season 21 Episode 9
16. Futurama - Fear of a Bot Planet. Season 1, episode 5.
On the planet of evil robots, Fry and Leela are accused of being human. The lawsuit is led by an old Mac 128k. Pay attention to the Mac OS boot line.
A situation that is painfully familiar to early Mac users - a system error and a bomb icon appear on the monitor.
17. The Simpsons - Mypods and Boomsticks. Season 20 Episode 7 No one was left without a joke: the Apple Store, the iPod, Steve Jobs, the legendary 1984 ad, and much more.
The series introduces us to the Mapple universe and can rightfully be considered the biggest reference to Apple in Futurama and The Simpsons. The story begins with Lisa visiting a Mapple store in the mall and exclaiming, “It's so sterile! Mypods, myphones, rack with brainbreakers (eng. braniac)!”
The episode features a public address by Steve Jobs… sorry, Steve Mobbs, “Mapple's founder and mastermind”. However, Bart intercepts the broadcast and overlays his words on the image of Mobbs:
You are all losers. You think you're cool if you spent 500 bucks on a phone that has a picture of a fruit on it. But guess what? Its production costs 8 bucks and I personally peed on each such phone. I made a fortune on you fools and invested everything in Microsoft. Now, me and my boyfriend Bill Gates are kissing while sitting on a mountain of your money!
Unable to endure such insults, the comic book vendor cries out, “Traitor! Your heart is blacker than your turtleneck!” and throws a sledgehammer at a huge screen - and again commercial 1984.
Suddenly, someone says, “How can we blame a boss who got fired 10 years ago and is now back!”
Speaking with David Silverman, I learned why Mapple references are so rare in The Simpsons:
We are careful not to go overboard with Mapple. I don't want this to look like an advertisement, because the Mapple brand is too similar to its existing prototype
18. Futurama - A Flight to Remember. Season 2, episode 1.
In this episode, Bender wants to heal his emotional wounds in the bar of a space cruise ship. Who mixes a cocktail of motor oil and Jägermeister for him? Is this the old iZac?
19. The Simpsons - Marge vs. The Monorail. Season 4, episode 12.
Look, the original Mac has been stolen!
20. Futurama - Clockwork Origin. Season 6 Episode 9
21. Futurama - A Bicyclops Built For 2. Season 2 Episode 13.
In this episode we see Bender using the Mac OS style menu.
22. The Simpsons - Politically Inept with Homer Simpson. Season 23, episode 10.
News ticker: Steve Jobs introduces iGhost. The joke about the death of the head of Apple was perceived by the public ambiguously. Someone considered her tasteless and tactless, and someone praised the Simpsons for their courage.
23. Futurama - Attack of the Killer App. Season 6 Episode 3 The series is called: “Attack of the killer application”. There's no shortage of Apple references here.
The plot revolves around Mommy's new hit: the eyePhone, a device that goes right into your eye.
“With the new eyePhone, you can watch, listen, ignore friends, fight with exes, download porn on a packed bus, or even check your email while you get hit by a train!” - says an advertisement for an incredible gadget. The express team goes to Mom's Store, where they find themselves in a giant line of zombified shoppers waving their money.
Inside the store, every element has a lot to do with Apple, from the iPod-style dancing silhouettes to Amy's words about the music in the store: “Oh, that's the non-pop song that's playing everywhere right now!”
When the salesman starts explaining the shortcomings of the eyePhone to Fry, he simply yells at him: “Shut up and take my money!”
24. The Simpsons - Bart has Two Mommies. Season 17 Episode 14
In this episode, we see the FeMac, "a computer designed for women." The resemblance to the iMac G4 is obvious. The computer is voiced by Susan Sarandon, whose voice announces the new e-mail: “You got the mail, unlike the Guantanamo Bay prisoners! Happy reading”
25. Futurama - The Series Has Landed. Season 1 Episode 2 Probably a distant relative of the Mac 128k.
26. The Simpsons - A Tree Grows in Springfield. Season 24 Episode 6 Turning on MyPad, he sees Steve Mobbs, who is “streaming from the afterlife” and says: “The thing that you are holding in your hands is an expensive giant smartphone that cannot call anyone. Isn't that amazing?"
There are many references to Apple in this series, from talking to Siri to Smart Cover. There is even a reference to Angry Birds here - “Vengeful Pigs”, which means “Vengeful Pigs”. What's more, in the Simson universe, even God himself uses a MyPad.
27. The Simpsons - Flaming Moe. Season 22 Episode 11
***
To be continued!

What do Apple, The Simpsons and Futurama have in common? - references to apple products in cartoon shows | iCanto
The Simpsons and Futurama are the two most popular cartoon shows in the world. In total, more than 33 seasons have been filmed, and the lion's share of them contains episodes with Apple technology. Some have a real form of banter, others are a great promotion, and still others carry only a subtle hint.
The author of the article not only compiled all the episodes with Apple, but interviewed writer Bill Oakley (seasons 4-8) and the permanent Simpsons director David Silverman. The creators gladly told “how and why” Apple equipment turned out to be in the series, and also gave some interesting off-screen comments.
Attentive viewers may be surprised that Futurama and The Simpsons are replete with references to Apple technology from ancient times - the first mention of Apple appeared before Apple ascended the podium. The fact is that the creator of the TV show Matt Groening helped Apple designers create brochures for the first Macintosh computer back in the 80s.
And Futurama co-creator David Cohen turned out to be a true Apple adept and developed a game for the Apple II called Zoid in the early 1980s. So it's safe to say that Dr. Zoidberg has native apple roots.
So, drumroll - below we present a complete list of episodes of The Simpsons and Futures featuring Apple technology. You'll soon find out why Mr. Smithers is a keen Mac user, what kind of processor is built into Bender, what Matt Groening thinks of the Mapple parody, and more.
Futurama - A date with a robot. Season 3 Episode 15
Fry starts dating a robot that has Lucy Liu's personality loaded into it. If you look closely, then at the moment when the professor loads empty robots into the trash, then the label "Mac Formatted" is pasted on it (formatted for Mac OS).
A little later in the same episode, we learn about the dangers of dating robots - a young man works at a computer that painfully resembles the first Mac.
2. Futurami - Neutopia. Season 6 Episode 12
Here we are witnessing Bender's participation in the Mac vs PC debate.
Rock Alien: Women and men are different. As well as many other things, for example, dark chocolate and vanilla. Mac and PC - one is always a little better than the other.
Bender: Chocolate, Poppy, Men. Dot.
3. The Simpsons - Homer is defined. Season 3, episode 5
The Springfield nuclear power plant is once again on the verge of collapse, chaos on the ground, the authorities hid their heads in the sand and the employees engaged in vandalism and robbery. We pause and see how one of the employees takes away the Mac SE with a dual drive.
A little more attention and we see a Mac mouse in the frame - with one key.
David Silverman commented on the frequent appearance of Mac computers in the frame by saying that the majority of animators in the early 90s used Mac OS as their main working platform.
4. The Simpsons - Lisa on ice. Season 6 Episode 8
Fans of the TV show will attest that Season 6 was the "golden" season of The Simpsons' lifetime. The list of unique episodes is endless: "Homer the Magnificent", "Homi the Clown", "Who Shot Mr. Burns" - these and many others made up the best Simpsons season of all time.
The episode "Lisa on the Ice" tells how Lisa and Bart became interested in hockey and the sports hobby turned into a competition for Homer's love. The episode includes an episode where Apple's Newton handwriting recognition system is covertly mocked.
Bully Kearny asks his friend Dolph to put a reminder in his Newton. The handwritten message reads "Beat Martin." The system translates it as "Eat Martha".
Last fall, Apple's former iOS app development manager admitted that the widespread ridicule of the Newton system and "Eaten March" were the motivation for Apple developers to get the iPhone keyboard up and running in no time.
5. Futurami - Fear of the Planet of Robots. Season 1 Episode 5
In this episode, the Planet Express crew find themselves on a planet inhabited by robots that prey on humans. At one point, the robot blows a horn, which marks the solemn beginning of the hunt for people. The bugle horn is very similar to the sound that Mac OS starts up with.
6. The Simpsons - four regrets and one funeral. Season 25, episode 3
Despite the fact that Apple continues to improve the voice assistant Siri, which appeared in 2011, it still remains a reason for jokes. In this episode, the store owners are trying to use Siri to find a hospital for Homer (hospitals). Siri apologizes and says she can't find a "flower slut nearby" (hos petals).
7. Futurami - Shares of the future. Season 4 Episode 9
The episode is about a Wall Street businessman frozen to death in 1980, who later thaws out and becomes CEO of Planet Express. Here we see a parody of the iconic Mac commercial from 1984.
After watching the new advertisement, Leela remarks: “ This is awful. People won't even understand what we do ."
There are also a number of subtle jokes in Futurama stock reports. For example, OS X shares are worth only 39cents, while Windows assets are 50 cents. Other promotions such as (Captain) Kirk and Fox have also been sued by Futurami animators.
8. The Simpsons - Homer becomes Smithers. Season 7 Episode 17
Great episode where Mr. Burns sends Smithers on vacation and looks for a temporary replacement. In this episode, Smithers can be seen using the Mac. Bill Oakley admits that mentioning Apple in this series is not accidental and carries hidden marketing potential.
At that moment, we wanted to show that Smithers is a progressive man who deserves the most innovative technology. That's why he uses a Mac and not a PC.
9. The Simpsons - A chance to get a million dollars. Season 21 Episode 11
The episode is about Homer winning the lottery. This time, Apple technology appears already in the splash screen. Homer captures the family couch on his iPhone and uses the app to select the order in which family members join him on the couch.
10. The Simpsons - The Devil's Web. Season 23, episode 11.
This episode was inspired by Zuckenberg. Lisa creates a new social network called SpringFace in hopes of making new friends. Here we can see that Lisa's computer is very reminiscent of the first Macs. In his biography, Steve Jobs admits that the "LISA computer" is named after his daughter, Lisa.
For comparison, this is what the real apple "Lisa" looked like:
11. Futurama - Fry and the Slurma factory. Season 1 Episode 13
At the end of the first season, the Planet Express crew makes an excursion to the Slerma plant. Previously, the Professor scans Bender's brain and, thanks to a clever F-Ray device, viewers learn that Bender Flexor Rodriguez is powered by a 6502 microprocessor. A similar model was used in the Apple II computers.
One of the creators of Futurama, David X. Cohen, admits that the mention of this particular processor model is personal:
During my school years, I could spend up to five in the morning programming video games of my own invention. It was on this basis that I became acquainted with this chip. It ran at 1 MHz - speeds are currently measured in GHz - so you had to have a fair amount of dexterity to get the program to do what fantasy painted.
12. The Simpsons - A million dollars possible. Season 17 Episode 16
Grandpa Abe's mistake causes the Springfield team to lose their chance to play in the big leagues. A wave of hatred overwhelms the townspeople and soon Grandpa Simpson begins to dream of euthanasia.
The suicide machine is called the diePod, which is very reminiscent of the updated first generation of iPods.
13. The Simpsons - Homerpaloosa. Season 7 Episode 24
Homer joins the Hullabalooza music festival in an attempt to be cool. The episode features a number of celebrity guest musicians, including Peter Frampton, Cypress Hill, The Smashing Pumpkins and Sonic Youth.
While at the music store, Homer refers to the famous music technology festival funded by Steve Wozniak.
Homer: About some unknown bands… Sonic Youth? Nine Inch Nails? Hullabalooza?
Store Keeper: Hullabalooza is a music festival, the greatest music festival of all time.
Homer: There can only be one greatest festival in the world and that is UsFestival
Store worker: What-what festival?
Homer: "UsFestival"! Damn, it was organized by the guy from Apple computers.
Store worker: WHICH computers?
Approx. in this case we are talking about a different interpretation of the word "Apple" - the translation changes depending on its use as a noun or a common noun.
And here's a photo that should please music fans: 1963, US Festival Steve Wozniak with Van Halen lead singer.
14. Futurama - Original factory. Season 6 Episode 9
Here we see a subtle nod to the iPad, a tablet device called the iFad. Pay attention to the name of the newspaper - USB-today.
15. Thursdays with Abe. Season 21 Episode 9
In this episode, we learn that Homer's brain runs on an outdated version of Mac OS.
16. Futurama - Fear of the Robot Planet. Season 1 Episode 5
Fry and Leela are accused of being human during the trial. The judge is an old Mac 128k. Note that Mac OS has a progressive workbar.
And of course, a bug painfully familiar to Mac users: the bomb icon that indicates that the system is frozen. And a bit of local humor, the character, trying to help, shouts: "Press Control-Alt-Delete!"
17. The Simpsons - Mypods and Boomsticks. Season 20 Episode 7
After years of subtle innuendo, in 2008 the creators of The Simpsons decided it was time for an open, satirical attack on Apple. No one could escape the punishing hand of animators and sound engineers: Apple stores, iPod, iPhone, Steve Jobs, and even the famous 1984 advertisement. The episode features all of Mapple's products and is arguably the most well-known series ever by Futurami and The Simpsons.
Set in a mall where Lisa gets excited about a new store called the Mapple Store - it can't be wrong, because that's how you want to write an Apple Store.
« He's so sterile! ,” she exclaims as she enters, “ Mypods, Myphones, and even a smart workpad! »
It's especially funny when a Mapple worker tells Homer that the MyCube's indicator light confirms that the device is off.
Step by step, we are seeing a lot of thin and not very hint of 'Apple'. From Lisa asking for fake white headphones to make people think she has a MyPod to a public announcement from "Mapple founder and main thought leader Steve Mobs."
While Jobs (i.e. Mobs) is speaking, Bart intercepts the microphone and replaces the speech with his own voice:
“ You losers! You think you're cool because you can buy a phone for 500 bucks that has a picture of a fruit on it. But I know that its real price is no more than 8 bucks. I made a bet on another player and invested all the money in Microsoft »
Unable to accept the idol's betrayal, the comic book salesman grabs a sledgehammer and smashes the widescreen (part-time store wall): « Traitor! Your heart is blacker than your turtleneck." Yes, yes ... we are again talking about the famous "1984 " advertisement.
The allusion to Jobs' triumphant return is also comical: " We fired him 10 years ago and then brought him back "
David Silverman mentioned that The Simpsons is extremely careful not to resort to "Mapple" parodies too often :
“In fact, we are very careful about creating parodies, especially when it comes to the Mapple (an apple with two bites). We don't want to be suspected of intentionally promoting a real product. The show has other goals. "
The Simpsons are currently trying to avoid constant references to the real world, but certain hints can be seen: Kwik-E Mart and 7-11, Squishee and Slurpee, Laramie cigarettes and Marlboro, Buzz Cola and Coke. Silverman, in turn, confirms that the matches are extremely far from the original and are in no way the embodiment of the real product. Well, well, let's leave jur. the questions are over, but it's hard to avoid questions about the phonetic coincidence of names and images of products that resemble real Apple products.
Silverman comments:
“We will try to avoid the frequent mention of Mapple, because this image turned out to be too close to reality, and our show is not related to advertising of live products in principle”
In general, caution - extremely valuable quality. Silverman even mentioned that Matt Groening was negative about the idea of introducing the Mapple brand to the show, even after the episode's runaway success.
18. Futurama - Flight into the jungle of memory. Season 2 Episode 1
In this episode we are watching a parody of the movie Titanic. Bender tries to drown his grief in the bar of a space cruise ship. Look carefully at the bartender. It's an iZac robot whose name pays homage to the original Bondi Blue iMac.
19. The Simpsons - Marge vs Monorail. Season 4, Episode 12
Look closely, one of the items stolen is a Mac.
Silverman talked about how Mac references are born that were not originally scripted:
Most of the animators who had a chance to work with computers (actually very few) in the early 90s had Mac computers. It was believed that this OS was the most friendly to people of creative professions. Perhaps it is nostalgia that drives animators when they depict computers in a cartoon.
20. Futurama - Clockwork origin. Season 6 Episode 9
In this episode, we meet Wozniak's Nerd Academy, a tribute to everyone's favorite king of smarties, Woz.
21. Futurama - There must be two Cyclopes. Season 2 Episode 13
In this episode we see Bender using a Mac OS styled menu with the appropriate keyboard shortcut.
22. The Simpsons - Political misfits with Homer Simpson. Season 23, episode 10
In this episode, Homer becomes the host of his own talk show, under the grand title "Political Bungling with Homer Simpson." The news feed shows that "Steve Jobs introduced iGhost."
23. Futurama - Killer app attack. Season 6, episode 3
Two years after the hit Mapple episode of The Simpsons, it's time for Futurama. The series begins with an electronic waste recycling festival and one of the products sent to the “furnace” is the original Mac.
After that, we see the crew of Planet Express decomposing in front of the TV to advertise Mommy's new eyePhone.
"With the new eyePhone, watch, listen, ignore your friends, taunt your exes, download porn on a crowded bus, and check email during a train collision. "
Of course, the main characters cannot pass up such a tempting offer (like most residents of the city of the future) and go to Mommy's retail store. Here, too, we see a lot of references to Apple, ranging from a strikingly similar logo to iPod silhouettes dancing on the walls.
Familiar musical motifs are not left without comment, Amy exclaims: wow! This is the song that plays everywhere in the catacombs.
Later, we see Fry about to purchase an eyePhone and receive warnings from the salesperson: " Good. It costs 500 bucks, there is no choice of network operator, the battery does not hold a charge, registration is not ... . Fry abruptly interrupts him and yells, “ SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! »
Just a few months before this episode aired, Futurami co-creator David X. Cohen tells Rolling Stone:
This is one of the first episodes to air since our return to Central Comedy Channel. We wanted to show that modern technologies are developing by leaps and bounds and people forget about more important values . .. When we approved the script, I said: this is the storyline that will be quoted and remembered for many years. I think this is a rare opportunity to depict the possible development of reality by the year 3000.
A little later we see Mommy talking about the benefits of the eyePhone: “The new eyePhone is unique. I use it to find new recipes and send threatening emails to developers who release unauthorized apps.”
The episode ends with zombified people walking around Mommy's store after the release of eyePhone 2.0. Looking at the crowds of her future clients, Mommy says: " Dumb Bastards ". Curiously, this remark was later removed from the television version and users can only find the original series on Internet resources.
24. The Simpsons - Bart has two moms. Season 17: Episode 14
Springfield Church hosts a charity fundraiser with Reverend Lovejoy curating a modern computer showcase competition. Wins the new FeMac, a women's-only computer.
25. Futurama - The series has landed. Season 1 Episode 2
In this episode, Fry and Leela go to Moon Farm, where the farmer offers them some precious oxygen. Here the heroes meet 3 daughters of a farmer, the name of one is Daisy-Mae 128k. Sure, this could be a coincidence, but given the sheer volume of Mac references, we might suspect a barely perceptible hello Mac 128k.
26. The Simpsons - A tree grows in Springfield. Season 24 Episode 6
At the school fair, Homer wins a MyPad and becomes addicted to the miracle device. After activating the tablet, Homer is greeted by Steve Mobbs himself: “ You are holding a giant expensive smartphone that cannot make calls. Is it really incredible? »
In the first half of the series, we see a lot of episodes on Apple: a voice indicator very reminiscent of Siri, a MyPad cover that looks exactly like SmartCover, and even an Angry Birds plagiarism called "Vengeful Pigs".
In a bar, Homer tells Moe that he recently FaceTimed with Leni, who is skydiving at the moment.
Finally, we see how God uses MyPad and Steve Mobbs, who became his Boss and notifies him of the release of a new model of MyPad.
27. The Simpsons - Flaming Mo. Season 22 Episode 11
Bart and Minhouse are involved in classic graffiti vandalism.
28. Futurama - Bender should not be allowed on television. Season 4 episode 6
In this episode, Bender becomes a soap opera hero. Here we see users of the Presidential TV network using an old version of Apple's QuickTime Player.
29. The Simpsons - Good, sad and stoned. Season 20 Episode 17
In this episode, Lisa spends trying to model Springfield 50 years from now. And what kind of machine helps in the study? iMac of course.
Moreover, if we study the picture on the screen, we understand that Lisa uses Safari. You can even see red, yellow and green buttons in the upper left corner of the window.
Later in season 22 (episode 22) we see Lisa using the same iMac.
30. Futurama - Absolutely fabulous
In this episode, Bender finds himself on an island that is inhabited by obsolete robots. There we see two robots, whose systems are vaguely reminiscent of apple ones. The Sinclair 2K robot has very little memory, while LISA runs on water.
Sinclair 2K most likely refers us to the Timex Sinclair 1000, a home computer born in 1982 and had only 2K of RAM. Outdated Robot Lisa - probably reminds us of the famous Apple Lisa.
31. Futurama - University on Mars. Season 2 Episode 2
In this episode, Fry ends up at the University on Mars, where a highly intelligent and snobby ape named Gunther becomes his neighbor. There is also Bender, who is spying on the girl's computer - the original Mac.
32. The Simpsons - All about Lisa. Season 19, episode 20
Here we meet the Mac OS window in the startup splash screen - family members are dragged to the family sofa, and then deleted using system commands on the File menu.
33. Futurama - The problem with Poppers. Season 2 Episode 15
In this episode we see Hermes working on the original Blueberry iBook G3. Remove the antenna and we'll see an early 2000s MacBook.
34. The Simpsons - Homer's Phobia. Season 8, episode 15
Here we see an old-fashioned Mac screen, complete with a black cursor and a Sosumi alert sound.
35. Futurama - 40% Lead Belly. Season 7 Episode 14
At the end of this episode, we are led to believe that Bender was killed on the train. At his funeral, we hear the following song lyrics:
When the man of steel drove the train through the wall, he became flatter than a MacBook Air. It crashed and became flatter than the MacBook Air .
And of course, Apple financed the "funeral".
36. Futurama - When aliens attack. Season 1 Episode 12
This episode is about an alien attack on Earth. At one point, we can recognize the classic Mac OS desktop.
37. The Simpsons - 30 minutes over Tokyo. Season 10 Episode 23
This episode brings Homer Simpson to Tokyo. At the beginning of the episode, Homer and Lisa are sitting in an Internet cafe called Java Server. Inside, we see a range of desktops bearing a strong resemblance to iMacs G3s, which were released just under a year before the series aired.
Mat Groening once mentioned that each series takes 6 to 8 months of painstaking work, so we can safely talk about a parody of the most modern iMac computers of that time.
38. Futurama - Love Bender. Season 3, episode 5
In this episode we will find out which school Bender went to and what version of Mac OS was installed in him. Bender's software-intelligent roots explain why Apple funded his "funeral" in season 6 of the series.
39. The Simpsons - Lady Gaga goes to see Lisa. Season 23 Episode 22
We see several references to Apple in this episode, including watching Moe work on an impressively detailed version of the iMac.
Later Lady Gaga uses Mapple MyPhone (by the way still with old firmware).
40. The Simpsons - MyPods and Boomsticks. Season 20, episode 7
Due to the abundance of the apple theme in this episode, I had to split its description into 2 parts. At the end of this episode, Lisa sees the bills and sends them to the Mapple headquarters located on the bottom of the ocean.
41. The Simpsons - Something about marriage. Season 16 Episode 10
This episode brings up the issue of gay marriage. Homer tries to cash in on the situation. At one point, we see Homer using the predecessor of Mac OS X. Here you can see the old scrollbars.
42. The Simpsons - Their robot. Season 23 episode 17
Mr. Burns with the first generation iPad. It is a pity, but it was not possible to find these programs in the App Store. Maybe you should change your search terms?
43. The Simpsons - Homer's Mom
She doesn't appear very often on the show. But if you follow the show closely, you might know who Mona Simpson is. We first meet her in episode 8 of the 7th season called "Mother Simpson".
So what about Apple?
The fact is that the former screenwriter of the series Richard Appel named Homer's mother after his wife. Here the fun begins - this same Mona Simpson is the biological sister of Steve Jobs.
Conclusion
While creating this post, the author came across a myriad of moments showing computers running older versions of Mac OS. Therefore, it was decided not to list all the episodes, because the post would turn into infinity. Here is an example from Futurama - we see the classic Mac OS window. In addition, part of the episodes where the Mapple logo appears is excluded from the article.
And of course, any resemblance to real people and products is purely coincidental. But we all know that accidents are not accidental.
