Studying the history of our native city - Events

The project is a great opportunity to share your knowledge, present your skills and creatively express yourself in the process of educational activities.

Vyacheslav Veselov , student of the 3rd grade of the Children's Art School No. 1 named after P.P. Chistyakova, under the guidance of Uliana Vladimirovna Plyusnina , a teacher of "History of Fine Arts", won the II Open Competition in Art History among students of the Children's Art School and the art departments of the Children's Art School "Centuries and Moments of Yekaterinburg" (organizer - EDSHI No. 9).

The competition is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Ural capital and is dedicated to the historical and cultural heritage of the city and the modern cultural process. Seventeen participants of the competition presented their research papers to the competent jury, which included Olga Alek c androvn a Bogomolova , Senior Lecturer of the Department of Art History of the Ural Federal University, Natalya Eduardovna Gallona, assistant of the department of art history and museology of the Ural Federal University, and Galina Vasilievna Koshurnikova, head of the city methodological section of teachers of art historians.

The members of the commission evaluated the speeches on several points: the depth of research, design, speech culture and emotionality of the speakers, as well as the integrity of the report.

Vyacheslav Veselov presented to the audience the research project “Cultural Heritage of Yekaterinburg: House of Doctor I.A. Xiano" , written as part of the study of the subject "History of Fine Arts".

The main task of the teacher within the framework of the lessons of the subject area "History of Art" is to show all the diversity of the artistic heritage of this world , which is now open to us - artists, styles, trends, schools. Being engaged only in the allotted time for this, it is not always possible to stop at something and immerse yourself in the history of a particular monument. That's why project activity becomes a way out of a problem situation - lack of time for in-depth study of the material or for acquaintance with material not provided for by the curriculum.

Vyacheslav chose this topic for his research not by chance. 2016 was the year of the 70th anniversary of the school. That is why the study of the history of the creation of an architectural monument, in which the Children's Art School No. 1 named after P.P. Chistyakov, has become the most relevant research topic. Young artists visit the school at least three times a week, but not everyone knows about its history.

The preservation of cultural heritage is one of the most significant elements of culture. By preserving our past, we create our future. Knowledge of the history of the native city and those sights that Yekaterinburg is proud of is the bottomless potential of civic and patriotic education. This knowledge forms our way of thinking, our worldview and our spiritual and value orientations.

Dr. Xiano's house is one of the unique examples of semi-stone buildings built in the fashionable style of its time. Most of all, this building fascinates with its history, its past, but the fact that the house is alive even now fuels interest - it is full of active, stormy life every day.

After consulting, the experts delivered a verdict and announced the results of the competition. In the younger age group , the work of Vyacheslav Veselov was awarded a diploma of the Laureate of the III degree.

But Vyacheslav's research work does not end there - he still has many discoveries to make!

Congratulations on your victory and wish you success in your future discoveries! 11/22/2017 Non-fiction, Children's literature
