24 Number 4 Activities for Preschool Children

While these activities were selected with the "number 4" in mind, most of these activities will work for any number. These math skills are also geared towards busy toddlers, but may also be used for remediation or reinforcement for younger grades.

In this activity, kids pick their favorite matchbox car and trace the number by staying on the road using a printed or homemade learning board. After some practice, you could also have students use paint on the matchbox car wheels and try to make their own road. This activity builds motor skills, and writing skills and reinforces number recognition.

Kids will love this hands-on math activity, and it's a great way to review counting skills after the summer, or reinforce them at the end of the year! In this fun counting activity, each construction paper "ice cream cone" is marked with a number, and students place the appropriate number of pompom "ice cream scoops" on top of the cone.

In this hands-on counting game, students place the correct number of goldfish crackers in each of the "ponds"--and get to enjoy a tasty snack at the end. This is a great way to reinforce counting up to four. Similarly, ponds could become different cookie shapes and students could count with chocolate chips.

Boarding school for children with mental disabilities №4

We are pleased to welcome you to the website of the orphanage-boarding school No. 4 (DDI No. 4), located in the city of Pavlovsk!

The boarding school has been operating for over 55 years. Our pupils are special children who need care and help more than others.

Today, 240 children with disabilities live in kindergarten No. 4. The age of our pupils is from 4 to 18 years. More than 600 employees work in the boarding school.

Comfortable conditions for the life and development of children have been created on the territory of the Orphanage. In each building there are many rooms for games, recreation, training, which correspond to modern ideas.

Bedrooms, playrooms and dining rooms meet all the requirements and conditions of the "Accessible Environment". We strive to get away from the “bureaucratic”, modern finishing materials, the involvement of decorators, artists, designers - all this allows us to bring life in the orphanage closer as at home.

Medical and rehabilitation assistance, support for pupils is carried out by qualified specialists who know the specifics of diseases and the needs for rehabilitation and habilitation of our children. Pathology of the nervous system, the musculoskeletal system, the pulmonary and cardiovascular systems - these are just a few, in various combinations, that our specialists face daily, and successfully solve the tasks assigned to them. Modern medicines, a salt cave (halochamber), hydromassage baths, a diverse multifunctional physiotherapy and rehabilitation resource base allow for an individual approach to the treatment and prevention of secondary complications. Round-the-clock supervision of medical personnel allows you not to fear for the life and health of children. The orphanage effectively interacts with all medical organizations in St. Petersburg.

Children are fed according to their needs and characteristics. Properly selected therapeutic nutrition: standard and "probe" tables, low-salt diet and diet for celiac disease, along with medication, instrumental, psychotherapeutic treatment, are a powerful tool for influencing the emotional and physical state of the child.

Fresh air, lots of green spaces, walking paths, sports and playgrounds, leisure and education, excursions and festive events, year-round recreation, caring and attentive staff. In our Orphanage, we have an individual approach to each child, to his health and development. Every day we strive to improve the quality of life of our pupils, creating life and comfort like at home.
