Usher Teaches the Silkiest ABC Song Ever on 'Sesame Street'

Now that Cee Lo has taken back his chair on The Voice, Usher seems to have some free time on his hands. And lucky for us, the father of two decided to swing by Sesame Street and teach the slickest version of the ABC's we've ever heard.

Aided by Elmo, Grover, Abby and Murray, Ush demonstrates a word for each letter in the Alphabet. A is "move your arms," B is "bounce like a ball," while C is "move like a crustacean and do the crabby crawl." You get the idea.

Best of all, when tasked with teaching the letter Y, Usher just offers, "Yyyyyeah man!"

Oh, and U? That's for Usher, obviously.

Puppeteer Kevin Clash, who manages one of Sesame Street's most famous characters, is accused of pedophilia. According to Clash's former lover, he was 16 years old when he and Clash began a relationship. Clash denies the accusations and says that it was a relationship between two adults. Puppeteer Kevin Clash is forced to take temporary leave from the Sesame Street children's show, reports the Associated Press. The Clash, who controls the red monster Elmo, is accused of pedophilia.

According to a spokesman for the program, in June of this year, it became known that Kevin Clash allegedly had a sexual relationship with a minor.

Clash's now 23-year-old ex-lover told about it. He revealed that he was 16 when they started a relationship. “We took these allegations seriously and responded immediately. We met with the prosecutor twice. We also met with Kevin, who denies the allegations,” according to the Sesame Street website. “In addition, we conducted a thorough investigation and found that the accusations of pedophilia are unfounded,” the program management added.

While investigating, the program discovered a personal correspondence between Kevin Clash and the accuser, but there was no indication of a sexual relationship with him. “Kevin was foolish to use work email for personal emails, and we issued a reprimand to him for violating the company’s internal policy regarding internet usage,” Sesame Street said. At the same time, it turned out that after contact with the accuser, the leadership of Sesame Street repeatedly asked him to provide evidence, but he was never able to do so.

In August, Sesame Street's management was contacted by a lawyer for the accuser, saying that the program was trying to "discredit the victim in order to protect its employee and one of its most famous characters." In addition, in his letter, the lawyer emphasized that "for the show, a puppet is more important than a living person." Himself 52-year-old Kevin Clash assures that the allegations of a relationship with a minor are false and slanderous.

“I'm gay. I was never ashamed of it and did not try to hide it, ”said Kevin Clash.

“I had a relationship with the accuser. But it was a relationship between two consenting adults, and I'm sad that now he is trying to give it some other color, ”added Clash. The puppeteer asked for a temporary leave of absence to try to repair his reputation and deal with the allegations.

During the summer, Sesame Street lawyers, given the circumstances, advised management not to inform the police. Representatives of the program decided to release the information after a copy of an email appeared on the TMZ. com website, which allegedly confirms the validity of the allegations. However, in Sesame Street, this letter is considered a fake: "It is very curious that the accuser and his lawyer said that they could not provide us with evidence, but for TMZ evidence was suddenly found." "Elmo is the most important character on Sesame Street and he will remain an integral part of the program to continue to entertain, educate and inspire children around the world, as it has been for 40 years," summed up the representatives of the program.

Kevin Clash began working for Sesame Street in 1984, taking control of the red monster Elmo. The character appeared on the show in 1979, but it was with The Clash that he became world famous. In 2006, Kevin Clash published his biography, Life as a Furry Red Monster: How Playing Elmo Taught Me to Live, Love, and Laugh Contagiously. In 2011, the puppeteer starred in the documentary Playing Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey, which won multiple Emmy awards for his work on Sesame Street.
