‎I Say Sight Words on the App Store

Description

Flash cards are a proven method to teach sight words. It has been in use for generations. What if you have a tool that works like flash cards but makes them interactive and fun at the same time? This app tries to achieve this using cute letters and their delightful animations to make sight word practice a multi sensory experience.

Unlike other apps where Kids are supposed to find the word being said and they can work through the app by taking random guesses, this app focuses on a word and encourages kids to say it by itself or use it in a sentence.

If the word is read correctly, the letters fall down and next word appears. After 5 words, all letters start floating and you can play a little game of popping all the letters before they escape. Just a little incentive for the little ones to come back to sight word practice each day. If they do not know the word and need help, they can touch the word or use speaker button and it is read out to them. They still have repeat it to move to the next word. This ensures they are learning and practicing the words they don't know.

Imagine the possibilities.Make a game out of learning e.g use each word in a funny sentence or make a story using each word in a sentence :)

The app uses microphone access and speech recognition to make sure words are being read correctly but without this access, the app will still work as interactive flash cards. The app does not save or store any audio recordings ever. They are only used for the purpose of making sure the word is being said correctly.

The app comes with 300 words and 10 words are selected by default. A parent or teacher can customize and choose any number of words to focus on. You have full control over how many words you want to introduce to your kids at a time. When the word is read correctly without using any help, it is marked with a star. If help is used, the word is marked red to indicate it needs more practice. The app keeps track of the words mastered (2 stars) and intelligently chooses next word to work on.

Features:

- 300 words

- Ability to select the words learner should focus on

- Review progress easily

- Encourages creativity by giving ability to read words by itself or use them in a sentence

- A popping game at the end of each word set to encourage learning

I hope you use this app as a tool to help your little readers master sight words and give them a head start on the wonderful journey of reading! We would love to hear from you about your experience in using the app and/or any suggestions you may have to make it better. Please write to us at [email protected].

Thank you!

Playful app for sight words practice

This app makes our everyday sight word practice fun. My son likes to say the words out loud and enjoys the interactive letters. Since he is able to hear the word whenever he needs help he is really been able to work on his own.
The words are organized in small sets and it is easy to keep track of words where he used help. Very focused and fun app. Totally recommended.

Thank you! We are happy to know you are enjoying learning sight words with our app.

Makes sight word practice fun

This app allows the user to practice 250 sight words. The words are grouped into sets of 5. The letters fall/tumble down to the lines and form a word. The user taps the mic icon to say the word. When the user responds correctly, the letters celebrate and tumble to the bottom of the screen. Once all words are completed in the set, the letters fall asleep, float about the screen, and the user may pop them with a tap of a finger. I recommend this app because it presents sight words in small chunks and provides fun interactions.

We are glad to hear you are finding our app useful. Thank you!

Best choice for parents

I tried some other apps, and this one was the best balance between a game and something that I could use with my son to help him catch up to some of the other kids in his class. When I work with him I like to use the elimination mode to help us focus on the words he needs to practice. He's gone from learning a list every two to three weeks to learning a list a week and has been making better progress.

Nice interface but doesn't work well with customized words

Definitely has potential, but my primary problem is that I need to create custom lists for spelling tests and the apps built-in speaking capability butchers the simple words (sip, will, rip, etc.). Also, there is no option to record the word yourself I tried using the built-in word lists by selecting favorites that corresponded to the custom list I was trying to set up, but that process is tedious because you have to actually view each word in the list through the flash card function to select favorites. This means scrolling through every word in the list. An easier method would be to be able to check off the words in the lists on the settings page.

I really like the interface and would recommend it if the pre-created dolce word lists were all a user wanted, but it's not useful at all for users wanting to use custom lists and the built-in speaking capability.

Great App.!

Thanks for a useful and fun flash card game.

I love using this with my own 1st grader. The ability to level the lists and carry over words she struggled with from previous lists is a +. The reverse flash cards are great when I can't sit with her to be sure she is getting it.

I also use this app with kids in my class if they have to sit out for P.E. I pull up the appropriate list and then they have something to do while my class plays.

VZGLYAD / Shnurov said why it is impossible to change the words of the song about the elections :: News of the day

A draft law on the abolition of commissions when paying for housing and communal services was submitted to the State Duma

The conditions for ending the war in Ukraine were announced in the State Duma

Musician Sergei Shnurov, who joined the Party of Growth and did not rule out his participation in the elections to the State Duma in 2021, answered the question of whether he would now change the words of the song that sounded in the film Election Day.

Presenter Vadim Takmenev on the air of the Central Television program on the NTV channel asked whether the musician would change the words of the song in connection with the new situation if he was asked to sing it at a concert, because in the future, perhaps, she will be associated with him, if Shnurov becomes a candidate.

“Why on earth? This is already a folk saying, it has entered the people, everyone sings it. How can I change this? - RIA Novosti reports the words of Shnurov.

“I'm not a candidate yet, I've joined the Growth Party, but I'm not a candidate anywhere yet. I am still a politician, when I am a candidate, then we will sing this song together,” he promised.

As a politician, he considers culture to be one of the most important topics. “Culture is not in the sense in which it is understood by many, as some kind of reserve, some kind of sacred knowledge that is accessible to a few, but culture is like our environment,” Shnurov explained.

Culture, he stressed, is not a system of prohibitions, it is, in his words, "a system of appropriateness." “Somewhere a mat is appropriate, but somewhere it is more appropriate to remain silent. And silence will look stronger and sound stronger than any swear word. And despite this, I consider swearing an integral part of our culture. That is, without censorship, but for relevance, ”the musician explained.

Recall that Shnurov joined the Growth Party and did not rule out the possibility of participating in the State Duma elections in 2021.

Ex-ambassador of the LPR Miroshnik: Poles and British participate in the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Svatovo

Ukraine has been regrouping forces in the direction of the city of Svatovo for some time now. However, each accumulation of enemy forces is broken by artillery strikes, Rodion Miroshnik, former LPR ambassador to Moscow, told the VZGLYAD newspaper, commenting on the military situation in the Luhansk direction.

“Ukrainian armed forces have really stepped up near the city of Svatovo in the northwest of the LPR. The military confirms that there is an active movement of forces from Kupyansk, Kharkov region, to Svatovo. As soon as they gather in some groups, our artillery works out on them. That is, in fact, the militants do not have the opportunity to create a convoy or assemble a single group for an attack, ”said Rodion Miroshnik, former LPR ambassador.

The diplomat also stressed that this direction is strategically important for Ukraine. “The north of the LPR, which can cut off the agglomeration Severodonetsk-Lysychansk-Rubezhnoye, is important for Kyiv. Forces from the Kherson direction can now be transferred there. There are many mercenaries, vehicles of all kinds, from ATVs to Western armored personnel carriers. On the air, we manage to catch English and Polish speech, ”he described.

“Currently, Svatovo and nearby settlements are being shelled. But the main attempts to break through are carried out on the road between Kremenny and Svatovo in the Krasnopopovka area, ”the source says.

Obviously, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not leave this direction just like that, Miroshnik emphasizes. “But after our regrouping near Kharkov, this line of defense was formed and fixed by us,” the interlocutor emphasized. She's been on for a couple of months now. Plus, quite serious fortifications were erected there. All this time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been making various attempts to break through - both at the expense of small sabotage groups, and columns, and large groups. But they didn't succeed."

Miroshnik added that "a difficult situation is also developing in the Kupyansky and Krasnolimansky directions, as well as in the area of Kremennaya and Lysichansk." “When we drove the enemy back in the Seversk region in the summer, then the line of contact was formed, which has not seriously changed yet,” he concluded.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to intensify the offensive in the area of the city of Svatovo. This was reported to TASS on Tuesday by an officer of the Lugansk People's Militia (NM) Andrei Marochko, referring to intelligence data.

Having no success in breaking through the defense, the Ukrainian troops suffer colossal losses and "return to their previously occupied positions", emphasized the representative of the NM of the LPR.

On Monday, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled Svatovo with 155 mm NATO artillery. This was reported by the representative office of the LPR in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC).

Last Saturday, Deputy Commander of the 2nd Army Corps of the NM LPR, assistant to the head of Chechnya Apta Alaudinov told TASS that the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Svatovsky and Kremensky directions in the LPR are almost entirely composed of foreign mercenaries.

Malkevich commented on the NYT article about the "atrocities" of the Russian military in the Kherson region

Member of the OP Malkevich: Kyiv organized a performance about the "atrocities" of Russia in the Kherson region like "Bucha"

“Kherson has an important symbolic meaning. The city captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine is an ideal place to create another provocation by the Kyiv regime,” Alexander Malkevich, a freelance adviser to the acting governor of the Kherson region, told the VZGLYAD newspaper, commenting on an article by The New York Times about the “atrocities” of Russian soldiers in the Kherson region.

“The material of The New York Times is an attempt to create a fake story, a second Buchu. The West is trying to act out an information-propaganda "series" using the Kherson region as the main scene. One of the producers is definitely Vladimir Zelensky. The first series is the statements of the leader of the Kyiv regime that more than four hundred war crimes of the Russian Armed Forces were recorded in the “liberated territories”, - says Alexander Malkevich, head of the working group of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on combating fakes, freelance adviser to the acting governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo.

“The second series is Bild's statement that 432 bodies of civilians have been found. Gradually, Reuters and the SBU began to connect, talking about the found nine torture chambers. Now we can observe the beginning of a new series - The New York Times, a publication with an international brand, is involved. There is an attempt to consolidate the thesis about the “atrocities” of Russian soldiers to the maximum,” the expert emphasizes.

“Unlike Bucha, Izyum and Kupyansk, Kherson is a big city. This is in many ways a cult place - the regional center of the Russian Federation founded by Potemkin and now captured by the Ukrofashists has turned into an ideal place for organizing another major provocation, ”the interlocutor emphasizes.

“The Kyiv regime is solving two problems. Firstly, there is a real destruction of the enemies of the ukrofascists, that is, those who worked in the authorities of the Kherson region. Of course, the majority left, but some low-level specialists remained. There were also people who worked in schools, in the public sector, representatives of public organizations. They settle scores with them. They will be executed, and then their own bodies will be presented as evidence of the “atrocities” of the Russian regime,” Malkevich points out.

“The worst thing is that even if a Western fact-checker points out that one of the victims (for example, a certain woman who worked as an accountant at a school or a municipal organization) helped Russia to strengthen power in this territory, how will she could become a victim of the RF Armed Forces? He will be told that the woman was killed for refusing to leave,” the expert believes.

“There are inconsistencies in this version, but it sounds coherent, especially for a Western reader who is completely manipulative and has no inclination to go into “complex matters”. They will swallow this "truth". The Western audience will be told about how "Maria Ivanovna" refused to leave for the left bank because of her unwillingness to leave her native places. They will tell about how the “evil Russian soldiers” tortured her for arbitrariness,” the interlocutor emphasizes.

“We must stop currying favor with the West. Nobody wants to hear us there. There are two thirds of the Earth - Africa, Latin America, Asia. There were sane people there. There is no frenzied anti-Russian propaganda. We must work with them, in their languages. It is important to convey to them the truth about the ongoing events,” says Malkevich.

“We need to move away from the Western-centric approach. Let me give you an example: as a person who spent half a year in these territories, I am ready to share information with European countries in any audience. However, no one is willing to listen to me. The last attempt to reach out to the UN Human Rights Council, which is located in Geneva, ended with the fact that Switzerland imposed sanctions against me, ”says the expert.

“Swiss sanctions prevent me from speaking at the HRC. The wording of such a decision is brilliant: I was “banned” for supporting the SVO and voicing the fact of unleashing an information war against Russia. In fact, they officially announced that people with a pro-Russian position do not have the right to speak at their official venues,” the interlocutor emphasizes.

“We need to change the focus: there is no point in trying to prove something to Switzerland if it sincerely does not want to hear from us. In addition, it is necessary to require strict fact-checking of all such publications. We have been told about 432 bodies for a week now. Let them present them. Immediately,” the expert emphasizes.

“They will be able to present them, but only after a certain time. First you need to catch and torture everyone. Then the bodies will certainly appear. However, if the New York Times claims something, please, let them present the data. They will refer to the SBU, but since when do we take everyone’s word?” - emphasizes the interlocutor.

“This is a very sad reality, because the bodies will be presented. These will be our people, from whom they are now knocking out testimony. The Kyiv regime wants to "open the underground". They rightly believe that there are people left in Kherson who treat Russia with sympathy and are waiting for our return,” Malkevich sums up.

On Tuesday, The New York Times published an extended article claiming that Ukrainian police and local residents had allegedly discovered a burial site of "victims of the Russian military" in the village of Pravdino, northwest of Kherson. The material mentions the remains of six men with traces of execution. "They were Ukrainians," the NY Times quotes Konstantin Podolyak, an employee of the Ukrainian prosecutor's office, who "arrived to investigate." It is precisely because "they were Ukrainians" that the victims ended up "in a shallow grave," the American edition emphasizes.

Not surprisingly, the same material mentions burials in the city of Bucha, Kyiv region, where "local residents talk about numerous executions carried out by Russian soldiers, most often for no reason. "

The Associated Press published an article in mid-November stating that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had already accused Russia of atrocities - the 400 war crimes mentioned above. However, in the photo gallery of the material, a picture was published, in which, according to the signature of the publication itself, “alleged collaborators” are tied to the poles.

Earlier, the Ukrainian press reported that the Ukrainian authorities revoked the accreditation of at least six journalists from a number of Ukrainian and foreign media, including CNN and SkyNews, for reporting from Kherson, which was occupied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

There is no doubt that bloody provocations are being prepared in Kherson, and by analogy with Bucha, Maxim Grigoriev, a member of the Russian Public Chamber and head of the International Public Tribunal for Ukraine, told the VZGLYAD newspaper in mid-November.

In Poland, the probability of participation of their army in hostilities is high

The possibility of hostilities involving the Polish army is extremely high, said Deputy Head of the Polish Ministry of Defense Marcin Ocepa.

The probability that the Polish army will take part in the war is extremely high, it is so high that this scenario cannot be considered purely hypothetically, Ochepa said, TASS reports.

The deputy minister of the department explained that if the probability reaches at least 30% “from a political point of view”, then he is already starting to prepare for this.

The possibility of a war involving NATO, as well as a conflict between Beijing and Washington, is very high, the Polish official added. From the point of view of the experience of the 20th century, in the future, the new decade can be called the second cold war.

“The risk of escalation is very serious,” Ochepa stressed.

Under such circumstances, Poland should strengthen its foreign policy and defense potential, it is necessary to strengthen relations with like-minded people, not only with the EU and NATO, but throughout the world.

Polish President Andrzej Duda, in a conversation with Russian pranksters, admitted that he would not want to bring relations between Poland and Russia to the point of war.

Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki responded negatively to the question of whether Poland is considering transferring Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, since there are only two batteries so far, and they will "serve to protect the Polish sky."

An expert explained Israel's motivation to supply weapons to Ukraine

Political scientist Simon Tsipis explained why Israel might start supplying weapons to Ukraine

Sooner or later, Israel will have to face the types of Iranian weapons that are currently used in Ukraine. Therefore, there is a growing likelihood that Jerusalem will begin to supply its weapons to Kyiv. Israeli political scientist Simon Tsipis told the VZGLYAD newspaper about this, commenting on the visit of the Ukrainian military delegation to the Jewish state.

“Ukrainian theater of operations (TVD) is relatively far from Israel. This is not a zone of our strategic interests, but our military in the end may not resist the temptation to clash in this distant theater with Iran's combat systems, be it kamikaze drones or some other types of weapons, ”said an employee of the Institute for National Security Studies Tel- Aviv University Simon Tsipis.

In the minds of Israel, the Ukrainian theater is gradually transforming “from the conflict between Kyiv and Moscow into a conflict between the weapons systems of Iran and Israel,” the expert explained: “Therefore, deliveries may well begin - not from great love for Ukraine, but because of participation in this conflict Iranian weapons, which sooner or later we will have to face anyway.” Tsipis does not rule out that in addition to kamikaze drones, Tehran can supply Moscow with ballistic missiles.

Recall that Moscow has repeatedly emphasized that only domestic military equipment is used in the special operation. However, in the West and in Ukraine itself, they are talking about the use of Iranian drones by the Russian military. Moreover, the American press claimed that Tehran agreed to supply Moscow with Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar surface-to-surface ballistic missiles, in addition to Mohajer-6 and Shahed-136 drones.

“Perhaps Russia will want to acquire other Iranian weapons. The more Moscow acquires them for use in the Ukrainian theater, the higher the chances that Israel will begin to supply its own types of weapons there, ”the expert believes.

On Tuesday, The Times of Israel reported that last week a delegation of Ukrainian high-ranking military officials secretly visited Israel. “Ukrainians have been keen to move ahead with the missile warning system that Israel allegedly promised to build for Ukraine,” the newspaper wrote.

Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz announced restrictions that would prevent the country from supplying weapons to Kyiv. In October, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Kyiv was officially asking Israel to immediately supply air defense systems.

According to Tsipis, if Jerusalem starts deliveries to Kyiv, then first of all it will be anti-aircraft systems. “But if Russia starts using Iranian ground weapons, then this could complicate the alignment. And then Israel will want to put ground-based anti-tank and other systems. If Russia confines itself to Iranian drones, then the situation will remain unchanged,” Tsipis believes.

According to him, in the event of the delivery of weapons to Kyiv, Israeli weapons will be managed on the spot by Israeli consultants, Tsipis stressed. “The missile strike warning system is defensive, not lethal. She warns civilians about a missile attack. If this harmless system saves the lives of Ukrainians, then we will only be happy,” the expert said.

The political scientist also doubts that the Ukrainian delegation could meet with representatives of not only the current, but also the future government - with people from the team of Benjamin Netanyahu. “Israel is still in the deepest political crisis in history. Netanyahu has only a few days left before the end of his mandate to form a government. It is unlikely that representatives of the Netanyahu cabinet will now have time to meet with foreign delegations,” Tsipis suggested.

Note that the visit took place against the backdrop of public friction between Tel Aviv and Kyiv. Thus, in mid-November, the Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, criticized Kyiv’s decision to support the “Actions of Israel” resolution at the UN, which denies the connection of Jews with the Temple Mount and requires an advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice on the actions of the Jewish state in Palestine. Brodsky stressed that supporting initiatives in the UN against Israel does not help build trust between countries.

Also, Ukrainian diplomats at the UN voted for the resolution "The risk of nuclear proliferation in the Middle East", which also negatively affects the interests of Israel.

Political scientist Simon Tsipis then announced the need to recognize Ukraine as an enemy of the Jewish state.

Russia claimed the right to shoot down satellites helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Director of the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yermakov declared that Russia has the right to consider satellites used to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine as legitimate targets

Quasi-civilian satellites used by the West to assist Ukraine's armed forces in military operations could become a legitimate target for Russia, said Vladimir Yermakov, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's non-proliferation and arms control department.

Ermakov pointed out that the West is actively using civilian space infrastructure, helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine to carry out purely combat missions. In particular, we are talking about low-orbit satellites. At the very least, this raises questions in the context of the Outer Space Treaty, which involves the peaceful use of outer space, he said. Ermakov believes that such a situation requires condemnation by the world community.

He confirmed that the specified quasi-civilian infrastructure, if used in military operations against Russia, can become a legitimate target for retaliatory defeat, RIA Novosti reports.

Ermakov believes that the Pentagon is testing the concept of "a promising command and control system anywhere in the world." It is noted that most countries do not have effective means of countering the United States in this area.

Russia opposes the use of civilian satellites for combat missions and calls for the development of comprehensive legally binding norms of international law that would prevent an arms race in space.

In October, the Foreign Ministry already warned that US commercial satellites, if used in the conflict in Ukraine, could become legitimate targets for strike. A year ago, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu confirmed the successful test of an anti-satellite system that “precisely” hit an old satellite.

Bloggers reacted to the indignation of Ukrainians because of the snow and birch trees in Dior advertising

The fashion house Dior has released a new advertising campaign for its collection against the backdrop of birch trees and snow, Ukrainian netizens have accused the brand of supporting Russia.

In the pictures, models with braids pose in white suits against the backdrop of a snowy birch grove, many saw references to Russian landscapes in this.

At the same time, users on social networks were divided into two camps: some accused the brand of supporting Russia, in particular, the special operation, while others were glad that the abolition of Russian culture did not happen.

“Russian style,” users from Russia began to write under posts in the brand’s Instagram* account (Meta* was recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).

“Hurrah, Russia is triumphant,” supported other commentators, whose statements are quoted by the blogger “Nebozhena” in his Telegram channel.

The author of the blog suggested that next year Russian culture will be returned to the mainstream. “It’s not just that several celebrities at once quoted Russia in one way or another in their images. They canceled the cancellation of Johnny Depp, and Russia will be returned, ”she said.

Olga Skabeeva, host of the 60 Minutes program, commenting on the advertisement with Katyushas and Birches, also stressed that “again, it was not possible to cancel the national culture.”

Meanwhile, Russian bloggers note that Dior can “seriously get hit on the head” as persecution in the comments has already begun.

So users from Ukraine found the advertising campaign inappropriate: “What a shame! Promoting the style of a country that the European Parliament has declared a terrorist country!”

Earlier, the head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry said that it is impossible to cancel Russia.

Latvian Foreign Minister called on Ukraine to attack Russian missile bases

Latvian Foreign Minister Rinkevics said that Kyiv should be allowed to attack missile bases in Russia

Kyiv "should be allowed" to attack missile bases that target Ukraine's critical infrastructure without fear of escalation, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics said in an interview with Bloomberg.

Rinkevichs believes that Ukraine should use weapons against Russian missile bases, including airfields, while the allies should not be afraid of the escalation of the conflict, RIA Novosti reports.

To date, the United States has not provided Ukraine with long-range weapons so as not to provoke an escalation.

Recall that now NATO countries are discussing possible deliveries of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said earlier.

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that if NATO supplies Kyiv with Patriot complexes along with personnel, they will immediately become a legitimate target for the Russian Armed Forces.

Military expert Oleksandr Bartosh, in a conversation with the VZGLYAD newspaper, said that the Pentagon is one step away from expanding the war zone in Ukraine, as it is considering the possibility of supplying Ukraine with cheap small-sized precision-guided bombs with a radius of destruction of up to 150-160 kilometers.

Stoltenberg called the colossal effect of Russian missile strikes on Ukraine

The damage from missile strikes on Ukraine is colossal, for its part, NATO will provide additional assistance to Kyiv, said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg before the start of the meeting of the alliance's foreign ministers in Bucharest.

According to him, despite the operation of Ukraine's air defense system, "these strikes cause significant damage," TASS reports.

Stoltenberg also added that NATO is exploring opportunities to provide Ukraine with new air defense systems, ammunition and provide maintenance for systems already transferred.

“An important signal from today's meeting is that NATO countries are ready and will do more. Help Ukraine rebuild its energy infrastructure, as well as provide more air defense systems. We must not only transfer the air defense systems themselves, but also ensure that the systems that we have already provided, and these are mainly modern air defense systems of NATO standards, including NASAMS and others, that they are functioning, that is, we must provide spare parts, ammunition and maintenance ", - he said.

Earlier, Stoltenberg responded to accusations of the failure of negotiations with Russia on the eve of the start of a special operation in Ukraine, saying that the alliance and Kyiv had never posed a threat to Russia.

Hungary set conditions for the Ukraine-NATO commission to be held

Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjártó said that the country would not allow the Ukraine-NATO commission to be convened

Until the authorities in Kyiv restore the rights of ethnic Hungarians in Transcarpathia, Hungary will not allow the convening of the Ukraine-NATO Commission, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said at a meeting of foreign ministers of the alliance countries in Bucharest.

Szijjártó said that Hungary has been demanding from Ukraine for many years to return their rights to the Transcarpathian Hungarians, the country will not allow the commission to be convened. According to him, after the situation in Ukraine escalated in February this year, Hungary did not raise this issue, and does not intend to do so until peace comes, TASS reports.

Earlier, the President of Hungary wanted the end of the conflict in Ukraine in 2023.

Recall that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine summoned the Ambassador of Hungary because of Orban's scarf with the image of "Great Hungary" within the borders of up to 1920 years, when the country owned the territories that are now part of Romania, Croatia, Slovakia, Serbia, Austria and Ukraine. Orban himself urged not to mix football with politics and not to try to see "what is not."

The VZGLYAD newspaper analyzed in detail why Orban's scarf frightened Ukraine and Romania.

Ukrenergo: All large TPPs and HPPs in the country were damaged

Ukrenergo announced that all large TPPs and HPPs of the country were damaged

All large Ukrainian thermal power plants and hydroelectric power plants were damaged, said the head of the board of the company "Ukrenergo" Volodymyr Kudrytsky.

Since October 10, all large hydroelectric power plants in Ukraine have been damaged during seven missile attacks, Kudritsky said in an interview with Ukrainian media, RIA Novosti reports.

Before that, Kudritsky reported that the Kyiv authorities were negotiating with several European countries on the supply of electricity to the country.

The company also stated that the power shortage in the Ukrainian energy system had reached 25%.

Attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure began on October 10, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, behind which, according to the Russian authorities, the Ukrainian special services are. The strikes are carried out on energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities. After the strikes on November 15, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that almost half of the country's energy system had already been put out of action.

An expert explained Steinmeier's position against a ceasefire in Ukraine

Political scientist Kortunov: Steinmeier is trying to rehabilitate himself for a peace formula in Ukraine

At one time, the ex-Foreign Minister of Germany, and now the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Steinmeier, received a lot of criticism for the proposed formula for resolving the situation in Ukraine. Now he is trying to rehabilitate himself, political scientist Andrey Kortunov told the VZGLYAD newspaper. Earlier, the President of Germany opposed the ceasefire in Ukraine.

“The rhetoric we hear today from Frank-Walter Steinmeier may be a kind of attempt at redemption. The fact is that the “Steinmeier formula” for reconciliation in the Donbass was once criticized by many, considering his position to be too soft and almost pro-Russian,” said Andrey Kortunov, Director General of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC).

“Now the President of Germany follows all the principles of the political mainstream, which is fully consistent with the current geopolitical situation. Another thing is that the question of justice and real politics arises here,” the interlocutor notes.

“The issue of security guarantees for Ukraine deserves special attention. Since the beginning of the special operation, many different options have been proposed. In particular, the topic was raised in Istanbul. The latest proposals, which were formulated by the former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen and the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, have a completely different concept,” the expert argues.

“Problems on this issue will arise not only from Moscow, but also from the West. The fact is that guarantees will require some changes within those countries that these guarantees can give. And I'm not sure that the states are now ready to go for it. This is probably why Steinmeier says that it is still unclear what security guarantees for Ukraine could look like and who could give them,” Kortunov concluded.

Under the current conditions, any calls for a ceasefire in Ukraine are not serious, said German President, former German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier in an interview with Deutsche Welle.

Steinmeier said that a truce would be “an acknowledgment of an injustice that has already taken place,” referring to the reunification of the Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions with Russia. The German President said that such a result "cannot be the goal of a ceasefire." “Therefore, unfortunately, I must say that at the moment I see no way out,” TASS quotes Steinmeier.

The President of Germany also said that it is still unclear what security guarantees for Ukraine could look like, who could give them. As the end of hostilities "is not yet in sight, security guarantees cannot yet be formulated," he said.

Recall that in October 2015, when he was the head of German diplomacy, Steinmeier proposed a formula for the implementation of the Minsk agreements, which received the name of the author. The “Steinmeier formula” envisaged a peaceful settlement in the Donbass through local elections in the DPR and LPR and constitutional reform in Ukraine. The implementation of the "formula", as well as the agreements "Minsk-2", was thwarted through the fault of Kyiv.

In October, Steinmeier, already in his capacity as President of Germany, visited Ukraine and spent an hour in a bomb shelter in the Ukrainian city of Koryukovka in the Chernihiv region due to an air raid. However, Spiegel suggested that the footage from the bomb shelter with the German president was staged.

Not surprisingly, the same material mentions burials in the city of Bucha, Kyiv region, where "local residents talk about numerous executions carried out by Russian soldiers, most often for no reason."
