Animation is a method of "animating" cartoon or puppet characters in a video. In traditional animation, characters and backgrounds are drawn or created by hand. In each frame, their position is slightly changed in order to subsequently get a smooth natural movement on the film. This is called "frame-by-frame" animation or animation.
Most modern animation is done using computer technology. They simplify the animation process so that even children can create their own creative work with minimal adult support.
Cartoon clubs (animation studios) can be organized in any children's institution, since animation equipment has become available. The bonus is the all-round development of the child.

Stages of work in the circle of animation and animation:
1. Acquaintance with the history of animation. Children learn by example the history of animation, various professions in this area: producer, screenwriter, artist, animation director (animator), cameraman, composer, sound engineer. Watch the best pictures of Russian and foreign animators.
2. Development of the plot and cartoon characters. The child shows his creative potential, invents and, together with the teacher, works out and writes down the plot. The main characters are discussed, what they will be made of, what parts of their body will move, and therefore they must be made separately. Children come up with scenery, backgrounds, additional details.
3. Storyboard and main scenes . Children draw the key scenes of their cartoon. What are the main characters doing? How are events developing? At this stage, children get acquainted with the concept of a frame, composition, panorama, close-up and general plans.
They think over the shooting of each key scene, create scenery.
4. Shooting a cartoon. One of the children (or a teacher) plays the role of an operator, and the rest move the characters frame-by-frame in accordance with the script and storyboard. Here such a skill of animation activity is formed as an understanding of the laws of motion, coordination of body parts of the characters and their consistency with each other, attention and perseverance in the process of shooting.
5. Editing of footage. On a computer, with the help of specialized programs, all the footage is brought together, the necessary special effects and animation are added.
6. Voice-over of cartoon . Here, children gain knowledge about the sound design of the film, the concept of musical accompaniment, leitmotif, sound effects, role-playing voice acting of characters. Children learn the text and read it into a microphone, sound tracks are added to a special computer program and assembled into a finished cartoon.
7. View completed work together . At this stage, children finally see the results of their labors and receive powerful moral rewards for their long-term painstaking work. Children learn how to consistently achieve success, which is based on many small steps.
Artistic and interactive animation ALMA
The ALMA company manufactures several types of equipment for creating children's animation circles.
Sand Stories . This is a light table for sand painting, where children develop sensory skills, creativity, relieve negative emotions and acquire a harmonious state of mind. "Sand Stories" can be used for fairy tale therapy when working with a psychologist or for creating cartoons using the "Sand Animation" technique.
Fairy shop ALMA. Equipment for creating a full-fledged shadow theater. It has a screen, scenery, heroes of many fairy tales familiar to children: a gingerbread man, a turnip, a grandmother and a grandfather, Masha and a bear, a hen Ryaba, a tower, a fox, a wolf, a hare and a rooster.

Children color templates of objects and characters from four worlds: a forest glade, a zoo, space, an ocean - and then the document camera scans and transfers children's drawings to a fantasy world. The projector creates an image on the wall or any other surface, where the colored models of children are animated according to the prescribed software algorithms. A fish swims among seaweed, a rocket lands on the surface of the moon, a bunny jumps in a clearing, and so on. "ALMA creative studio" is suitable for kids aged 3-6, as the development of the emotional-volitional sphere and concentration of attention is still too weak for more complex and long-term creativity.
