Valentine's Day Cookies (3) Recipe

Good day, my dear readers! Cookies for St. Valentine's Day are very easy to prepare for one reason - you don't need to look for complicated recipes, master incomprehensible technologies, but simply take the recipe of any well-known and long-loved cookie and give it the shape of hearts.

Contents

  1. Valentine's Day Cookie Recipes
  2. Valentine's Day Heart Cookies
  3. Valentine Cookies - DIY recipe with photo
  4. How to make Valentine's Day Cookies

Valentine's Day Cookie Recipes

You can use a stencil. You can do artistic carving on the dough. Cut diligently and painstakingly each heart by hand! The main thing is that not only the intoxicating aroma of vanilla or cinnamon can be heard from a slide of a freshly baked dessert. And the love with which you prepared these sweets was felt.

Valentine's Day Heart Cookies

If you don't have your favorite Valentine's Day cookie recipe in stock, but you have an irresistible desire to enjoy sweet hearts on this day, then this article will definitely help you. Here is one option for a hearty dessert.

Products:

  • Butter - 200 gr.;
  • Eggs - 1 pc.;
  • Flour - 2.5 cups;
  • Sugar - 1 glass;
  • Salt - 1/3 teaspoon salt.

Products for glaze:

  • Powdered sugar - 200 gr.;
  • Egg whites - 40 gr.;
  • Food coloring - optional;
  • Tapes and paper.

Preparation:

We divide the butter (already soft) into equal parts - so it will be convenient to use it.

Put it in the food processor.

It is better to leave the egg whites for the icing, and send all the yolks (2 pcs.) to the dough. If the icing is not planned, then the proteins are also sent to the dough.

Add salt and sugar to the collected ingredients. Flavor lovers can add citrus zest, nutmeg crumbs, cardamom, cinnamon or vanillin here.

Mix everything.

Now we will add flour. It may take a little more or a little less flour to prepare the dough than indicated in the recipe, as it depends not only on all the ingredients, but also on the moisture content of the flour.

To find out if there is enough flour in the dough, you need to touch it - if the dough remains on your hands, then you need to add flour. When the dough is shiny and no longer sticky to the food processor and to your fingers, it is ready.

The piece of dough can now be rolled out. The thickness of the layer should be no more than four millimeters.

√ And now let's cut out hearts!

We carefully transfer our blanks onto a baking sheet.

We send to the oven and bake for about 15 minutes (temperature 180 degrees). Care must be taken not to burn.

If you still have energy left after kneading and forming hearts, you can stretch out the pleasure of making a festive dessert. In still raw cookies, you can make holes with a straw from a cocktail.

After baking and eating a few things (you can't resist), you can continue decorating hearts from shortcrust pastry.

It's time for the frosting. Lightly beat the egg white with a fork.

Add powdered sugar.

Mix everything.

Add dye.

Cut parchment squares.

Put some frosting on the corner of each square.

We make a cornet out of paper.

Cut off the corner of the resulting cone and start decorating our cookies.

Everything worked out!

Charming and very tasty.

It remains to attach notes with compliments or wishes, and maybe with declarations of love to the cookies.

Bon appetit and big and bright love to everyone!

Valentine cookies - a recipe with a photo of your own hands

Instead of the usual paper Valentine, you can cook an unusual - edible one.

And you can confess your love and feast on it. Moreover, the cookies for Valentine's Day, the recipe of which is offered, turn out to be tender and fragile.

Products:

Dough:

  • Butter – 225 gr.
  • Sugar - 120 gr.
  • Powdered sugar - 110 gr.
  • Chicken eggs - 1 pc.
  • Baking powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Soda - ½ teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Flour - 450 gr.

For glaze:

  • Egg whites - 1 pc.
  • Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
  • Powdered sugar - 200 gr.
  • Coloring (food)

Step by step preparation:

Chop the butter into cubes.

Sugar and powder are sent to the oil.

Mix everything with a mixer, add egg and soda

Mix everything again with a mixer.

Add flour to this butter mixture, which already contains salt and baking powder

In the process of adding flour, you need to adjust its amount - the dough should not stick to your hands.

Wrap the prepared dough in cling film and hide it in the refrigerator for half an hour

Then roll out the finished dough so that its thickness is no more than four millimeters. Roll out on parchment paper or simply on a table that is sprinkled with flour.

Cut out dough pieces with heart cutters. We lay parchment on a baking sheet and, having laid out our blanks on it, at some distance from each other, let the hearts stand for a while - when baking, they will increase in volume.

We send the future cookies to the oven with a temperature of 180 gr. seven minutes until golden brown. After baking, cool the hearts.

To glaze cookies, mix egg white and powdered sugar.

Mix until smooth.

Then beat with a mixer at low speed for about two minutes.

Add lemon juice and continue beating for about three minutes.

Cover the prepared egg white with a damp towel and set aside for 15 minutes.

Thick glaze is suitable for decorating the edges of cookies. In order to fill the entire surface of the gingerbread with icing, you need a more liquid icing diluted with water. We place the prepared glaze in a cornet and decorate our hearts.

At the very beginning, draw the outline of the cookie. We wait until it dries for five minutes.

Then we cover the entire area of the hearts with a more liquid glaze. Here you can also add the dye of the desired color.

You can decorate according to your imagination. You can apply drawings and inscriptions.

When the icing is completely dry, Valentine's Day cookies can be served on the table, delighting your loved ones, relatives and friends.

How to Make Cookies for Valentine's Day

Another tasty cookie for Valentine's Day is cookies with layers of bright marmalade, jam or marmalade.

Small hearts, which in turn are decorated with small sugar hearts.

They look very elegant and festive. Therefore, they will be a great gift for all lovers.

Products:

  • Wheat flour - 200 gr.
  • Butter - 80 gr.
  • Sugar - 70 gr.
  • Eggs - 1 pc.
  • Baking powder - 4 gr.
  • Lemon - 1 piece
  • Cherry confiture - to taste

Cooking process:

In a deep dish (can be on a cutting board), grind the cubes of chilled butter with flour, previously sifted. You should get a homogeneous flour crumb.

We make a hill out of the crumbs and place the zest, sugar and egg on top of it.

Knead a homogeneous dough, wrap in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for half an hour.

Roll out the dough on the board, after sprinkling it with flour, up to 4 mm thick. Cut out cookies with heart shapes. In half of all cookies in the middle, cut out smaller hearts.

Lay the blanks on a baking sheet, pre-covering it with baking paper, which can be replaced with a silicone mat.

Then put the cookies prepared for baking in the refrigerator, then bake for about 10 minutes in the oven at a temperature of 180 degrees.

When the hearts have cooled down, spread jam on them.

Smooth out the sweet coating and place the heart-cut cookies on top.

Everything is ready - Valentine's Day cookies are ready to serve.

Bon appetit, your Juliana.

Valentine's Day cookies - recipe with photo

  • Valentines - Cookies for Valentine's Day

Delicious biscuits for Valentine's Day in the "cute" style: pink bears tenderly hug huge hearts with touching tiny bows.

These are wonderful holiday valentine cookies that will be admired and bragged about first, and then served with tea. Food coloring creates a warm "vintage" color scheme. But you can do without dyes by adding cocoa powder to the white glaze, then the cubs will become northern, and the hearts will become chocolate.

    Recipe ingredients:

      Dough:

    • flour - 2 cups
    • sugar - 100 gr.
    • margarine - 150 gr.
    • egg - 1 pc.
    • baking powder - 1 teaspoon
    • cocoa powder - 1 tablespoon.
    • Glaze:

    • powdered sugar - 200-250 gr.
    • egg white - 1 pc.
    • citric acid - at the tip of a knife (optional)
    • gel food coloring.

Valentine's gift cookies according to the recipe are made from shortcrust pastry and "live" for 5-7 days, during which time the pastry will be crumbly and crispy. The dough can be regular or "chocolate", it all depends on the presence of cocoa powder.

Margarine is cut into cubes and placed in a deep bowl.

    Sprinkle margarine with sugar.

Crack one egg, mix the butter with a fork.

Sprinkle the sifted flour and baking powder. Knead the dough.

Mix half of the dough with cocoa powder.

Knead until elastic, divide into two parts, wrap with cling film and put in the refrigerator.

After an hour, start rolling and cooking. Cookies for Valentine's Day involve making figurines on the theme of love and tenderness, so which images of Valentine cookies you choose is a matter of taste, the main thing is a clear picture.

Draw teddy bears with hearts or print them out. The dough is rolled out, the thickness is half a centimeter, a picture is placed on top and circled around the contour with the tip of a sharp knife.

In any part of the figurine, two holes are squeezed out, through which a ribbon with a bow will be pulled. Shortbread dough valentine cookies are conveniently cut using a special tool with gear wheels, the cut is beautiful and even.

Three sets of cookies can be prepared from the amount of ingredients indicated in the recipe: bear figures and letters that make up the word “love”. The English version of the word is easy to cut out of the dough, in addition, it is shorter than the Russian counterpart.

Spread the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, put in the oven for 20-25 minutes. The temperature is 180 degrees.

While the cake is cooling, sift the powdered sugar and prepare the frosting.

Beat the cooled egg white to maximum density, add powdered sugar, beat for a couple more minutes.

The icing is divided into 3 parts: one is left white, another is mixed with a drop of pink dye, and two drops of dye are added to the third. The triangular bag is filled with pink icing. The top of the bag is tied with a thread, and the tip is cut off.

Carefully cover all the letters and bodies of the figurines, skipping only the muzzles and hearts.

Hearts are poured with bright pink glaze, the middle of muzzles is filled with white. Check with the pictures to accurately repeat the pattern.

Gel food coloring is similar to liquid gouache. One drop of paint is squeezed onto a plate-palette. The brush is dipped in water and dipped in paint. For culinary painting, you can adapt any new synthetic brushes.

Only dried valentine cards can be painted, paint spreads on wet glaze.

The contours of the bears are outlined in chocolate brown, and light pink patterns are drawn on the letters.

According to this recipe, Valentine's Day cookies are tasty and fragrant.
