Bedtime story "The Baroness the Dog"

More than anything, the Baroness loved to dream. She dreamed of becoming famous. All dogs will greet her loudly, wag their tails merrily, look after her.

Secretly, while no one sees her, the Baroness rehearsed a stately step, while solemnly nodding left and right. She studied the royal look, in general, she was still a dreamer!

One day the Baroness met a dog named Rex. At first they just said hello, but then they became friends.

And then one day Rex told the Baroness that he was building a castle that would have enough space for both him and her. The Baroness was overjoyed. The castle is so magical, solid and beautiful. And around the castle there will be a carpet of green grass, on which you can relax in good weather.

Every day Rex told the Baroness about the progress of the construction. Here is the first floor. The rooms on the first floor will have wonderful windows. They are designed in such a way that as much sunlight as possible penetrates into the rooms.

- Is it possible to make it so that there are small white columns on both sides of the porch? the Baroness once asked.

“Of course,” Rex replied.

One morning Rex said that the construction was nearing completion. He talked about the amazing roof that can rise and fall, the wonderful flowers planted around the castle, and the excellent kitchen where you can sit in silence and gnaw on a bone.

“And even two bones,” the Baroness dreamed.

She already imagined what room she would occupy in this castle. The most beautiful and sunny.

In the afternoon Rex disappeared somewhere and appeared only in the evening, all solemn and festive. He gave the Baroness a paw and told her to go with him. Rex seated the Baroness under a beautiful tree and asked her to look directly. The baroness strained her eyes, but saw nothing.

— Where is the castle? she asked.

“He is in front of you,” the dog Rex said thoughtfully.

“But I can't see anything,” the Baroness muttered in surprise.

“Look carefully,” Rex instructed.

But no matter how hard the Baroness looked, she didn't see anything. She looked at Rex in confusion.

— I built a castle in the air, Baroness. He is the most beautiful in the world.

“Building castles in the air means dreaming of the impossible, indulging in fantasies,” said the Baroness. “Well, Rex, thank you for such beauty and majesty. I've never seen anything like it.

And she smiled. Yes, there is no real lock. But there is a fantasy, and it's great! The Baroness was a dreamer herself.

"Well, Rex and I have two boots - a pair," she thought.

The Baroness went to bed in a good mood.

The Baroness conveyed her greetings and wishes of good dreams to all the children!
