I never seriously thought about home education, but during the coronavirus pandemic, I, like many other parents, had to independently organize the process of teaching children. So, starting from March 2020, we have tested several online educational platforms.

It was important for me that primary school children learn effectively, with pleasure, and that they complete at least part of the tasks without the help of an adult. I was looking for free or not too expensive resources and now I want to share my experience with readers T-F.

The platform is very bright and friendly, kids will love it. There are tasks in the main school subjects: mathematics, the outside world, Russian and English languages, as well as separate courses in programming, planning and achieving goals, preparing for all-Russian test papers. Assignments in the main subjects do not always coincide with the school curriculum and sometimes seem too simple. But the Olympiads, which are held on the basis of the platform several times a year, are very popular with children.

We use the platform to revise and have fun. We chose a free account that allows you to complete 20 tasks daily and take part in all Olympiads.

Pros: intuitive interface, even a first grader can study without the help of an adult. Children like the game format and motivate them to complete tasks.

Cons: only part of the platform is available in the free profile, and the premium account is paid immediately for a year. If there are several children, the amount will be impressive.

NES is a good knowledge base for schoolchildren. The platform has video lessons, notes, training tasks and test papers in many subjects of the school curriculum. All information is organized by classes, topics and subjects - from the Russian language and geometry to ecology and economics. In our case, the platform helps with learning French, which my daughter wanted to study additionally.

Cons: platform is not adapted for mobile devices, it is convenient to study on it only on a computer. If the whole family is telecommuting, this can be a problem. In addition, it is still difficult for a child to learn on the platform on his own, so the help of an adult will be required.

The teachers of our school actively used Yaklass to conduct tests in the spring of 2020. The platform looks rather boring, but here you can find training tasks for school subjects.
