What are the Sounds of C

The letter C can make two sounds: A hard /c/ sound as in: can, car, cope AND a soft C sound (/s/) as in: cent, cyst, and city. The C is soft if it come before an i, e, or y. Otherwise it makes the hard /c/ sound.
