BenBen was once considered “the saddest cat on the internet” and with his cute, squishy face and slightly downturned eyes, you might get the impression he’s a little bit sad. But you’d be wrong. Especially earlier this week when his human mom and dad got married. Where he soon became the center of attention.

BenBen Is An Adorable Wedding Guest.

And Ben’s mom Sandy Windover said the happy day was definitely a fun one for everyone — including the cute orange tabby cat who soon became the center of attention.

“Surrounded by Love, cats, and mountains, we exchanged vows; that may have included many cats puns, and became one permanent family; partners in crime and cat rescue!!” she wrote.

BenBen, who’s adorably pudgy seemed comfy in his surroundings as Sandy held him. This definitely looked like a beautiful wedding. How nice of Sandy and Adam to include their fuzzy little furchild.

BenBen’s Situation Wasn’t Always Happy.

There was indeed a good reason why he was called “the saddest cat on the internet.” It’s difficult to believe but in April 2016 cute Ben was one day away from being euthanized, GlobalNews reports. This adorable boy had been brought to the Vancouver Animal Emergency And Referral Centre by an officer from the BC SPCA. Poor little Ben was definitely in a bad way.

His little spine was badly crushed, he was full of puncture wounds, a badly mangled ear, and infected lacerations. His situation was so bad, in fact, that he could barely move. The very next morning he was taken to the BC SPCA hospital, where he spent the next 10 days.

Loads of people wanted to adopt him during his stay at the BC SPCA. But this fell through when they found out how serious his medical problems were. He was deemed unadoptable and scheduled for euthanasia on May 1.

Then Sandy Stepped In.

She worked as a veterinary technician at the Vancouver ER Animal Centre and had met BenBen previously. So she messaged Adam to see if she could bring this sweet kitty home and he agreed. Now his situation was going to become decidedly better. But when Sandy first brought him home she and Adam thought he might not ever be able to walk.

That, however, wasn’t what Ben thought.

His first steps were stiff, wobbly, and shaky but that didn’t stop him.

“We had to line our place with Yoga mats so he could walk without falling over,” she said. It wasn’t long, however, before he was running and jumping in true kitty cat style.

With his winsome good looks and his inspiring story, BenBen has become a huge hit on the internet.

He has more than 638,000 followers on Instagram and 328,000 on Facebook. His popularity has come as a bit of a shock to his human parents.

“We had a feeling that he might get a little bit of attention but we didn’t expect this,” Adam Tutt said.

Now Sandy and Adam are dedicated to helping other wonderful kitties like BenBen. In 2016 they set up a GoFundMe to raise money for other animals at the BC SPCA.

“Unfortunately, the BC SPCA don’t have a lot of funding to help strays that come through their building,” Sandy said. “So we thought we could help other cats just like BenBen.”

The GoFundMe campaign was quite successful. The goal was to raise $5,000 but it went well over that, all the way up to more than $14,000!

His inspirational story reminds us why we love cats and do what we can to help them.

And there are so many kitties just like him and they all deserve love and care.

BenBen came from the direst straits and he has a mom and dad who love him dearly. He’s also got adorable brofurs and sisfurs to play with. Now with all that cuteness, you KNOW his heart is happy!

Description

Ben is a retired chemistry professor who enjoys his rather comfortable lifestyle of eating, drinking and reading newspapers. To get an answer from him, you will have to get him long enough until he folds his newspaper. Only then can you talk to him, hit or tickle him, or even talk to him on the phone.

If you take Ben to his laboratory, he is happy as a puppy. There you can conduct chemical experiments by mixing the contents of two flasks together and observing cool reactions. nine0007

TIP: Record funny videos of your phone conversations with Ben and send them to your friends.

HOW TO PLAY:

    The cat from the well.

Sad Ben is looking for owners, the release of a Red Book owl and the rescue of a puppy from the street - in the selection of Moscow News.

A kitten was evacuated from a sewer well in St. Petersburg

    • The cub meowed desperately from the bottom of the sewer on the boulevard of Workers, but only a girl named Elena heard him. She stopped, listened, and began to look for the source of the plaintive meow.
    • The girl realized that the baby was sitting at the bottom of a deep sewer well. Elena called Vodokanal. People were sent from there. The specialists, having seen the animal, which huddled behind the pipe, closed the hatch and, citing important matters, left.
    • Then the girl turned to the Ministry of Emergency Situations. They promised to help. The rescue team arrived at the scene. The men tried for several hours to bring the kitten to the surface. There was a risk that the baby could escape through the pipe into another sewer. But the rescuers managed to evacuate the kitten. Now he is looking for caring hands. nine0080

In the US, a cat with a sad expression is looking for new owners

    • A five-year-old pet named Ben Franklin made the entire animal shelter in Connecticut fall in love with him. The cat ended up there after his owner died. A distinctive feature of Ben is a sad expression of the muzzle and slanting eyes, which captivated the shelter staff.
    • It seemed that such a cute cat would have no problem finding new owners, but because Ben doesn't like socializing very much, they don't want to take him away from the shelter. At the same time, veterinarians helped the handsome man get rid of kidney stones, so he has no health problems. nine0080
    • The full namesake of one of the founding fathers of the United States has been waiting for his man for more than a year. Shelter workers say that being in an institution prevents the cat from becoming more friendly and prevents him from fully revealing his personality. But the volunteers are sure that someday Ben will go to his permanent home with a new person.
