It was Kitten’s first full moon. When she saw it, she thought, “There’s a little bowl of milk in the sky.” And she wanted it. So she closed her eyes and stretched her neck and opened her mouth and licked. But Kitten only ended up with a bug on her tongue. Poor Kitten! Still, there was the little bowl of milk, just waiting. So she pulled herself together and wiggled her bottom and sprang from the top step of the porch. But Kitten only tumbled— bumping her nose and banging her ear and pinching her tail. Poor Kitten! Still, there was the little bowl of milk, just waiting. So she chased it— down the sidewalk, through the garden, past the field, and by the pond. But Kitten never seemed to get closer. Poor Kitten! Still, there was the little bowl of milk, just waiting. So she ran to the tallest tree she could find, and she climbed and climbed and climbed to the very top. But Kitten still couldn’t reach the bowl of milk, and now she was scared. Poor Kitten! What could she do? Then, in the pond, Kitten saw another bowl of milk, and it was bigger. What a night! So she raced down the tree and raced through the grass and raced to the edge of the pond. She leaped with all her might— Poor Kitten! She was wet and sad and tired and hungry. So she went back home. And there was a great big bowl of milk on the porch, just waiting for her. Lucky Kitten!

The story of how they adopted a kitten from the street. The cat from the street has found its home. The story of a kitten that found a home.

This is just an incredible story, even with a hint of mysticism...

Our family already had one cat, and there was no question of acquiring another one. The apartment is a small "Khrushchev", there are a lot of people, and so they "sit on each other's heads", one might say. And although everyone loves animals very much, one pet was enough.

And then one fine winter evening, after a hard working day and a delicious dinner, the head of our family rested peacefully. The children went about their business, I busied myself in the kitchen.

We live in a small, cozy town near Moscow. Not far from our house, about 10 minutes walk, there is a beautiful monastery. We are not frequent guests, we do not take regular walks, but on major holidays we visit there from time to time.

The time on the clock was 19:30, the monastery closes its doors to visitors at exactly 20:00. And then I suddenly had a sharp desire to go there immediately. I don’t understand why, where it comes from, what it is connected with, but I just dropped everything I was doing, shouted to my husband “Get up!” and in a hurry began to gather. The dumbfounded husband jumped up in surprise and also began to dress! Another time, he wouldn't have moved his ear. After all, you can find a more suitable time for walking. How? For what? Why now, half an hour before closing? While we get ready, get dressed, walk for ten minutes, what's the point in this venture? I cannot answer this question. It was as if something pushed me, and right now, without a moment's delay, to the monastery.

We came to the territory of the monastery and decided to walk around the pond and return home. We took a few steps and heard the meowing of a kitten. But not barely audible, but loud, deafening. Bending down, they found a small kitten near the bush. He was shouting as if he wanted to say: “Here I am, don't pass by! You came for me, didn't you?!!!"

You know, we didn't have conversations like "Let's take him, he'll freeze, well, at least for a while... I'll advertise, I'll find good hands for the kid..." NO! I took the baby in my arms, stroked it, caressed it, and we just went home! It didn't matter to me whether it was a boy or a girl, what color it was (it was practically invisible in the dark, like the most common "garbage" color), whether it had fleas and worms... I didn't even have such thoughts. The most amazing thing is that my strict husband did not say a word! That's how it was supposed to be, as if we were heading here for the kitten . For me, it still remains a mystery.

In a couple of days, the baby was diagnosed with the most terrible infectious diseases, including panleukopenia (popularly called cat distemper), there was practically no chance to survive, her body was exhausted, she weighed 400 grams, but despite everything, we coped with the diseases! !! Believe and hope for a miracle! How many nerves and money were spent on endless injections, droppers and trips to the veterinary clinic . .. But that's a completely different story.

And now our Ezhulka is already two years old, and she is an insanely affectionate, grateful and unusual cat who makes us endlessly happy, and we adore her! And we never regretted our spontaneous, inexplicable act then, on a cold December evening...

Health to you and your pets!

A story about a kitten

A kitten plays with a mouse

Finally I decided to write a story about a kitten that has been living in our house since September last year. Our kitten is a favorite of the whole family, outbred, but beautiful, like all tabby cats, and cats of other colors too. He will soon be full grown. To begin with, we ordered a kitten from friends from a rat-trap cat, since mice run around in a private house, and without a cat they simply begin to become impudent. The cat lambed, the son chose a tabby kitten with tassels on the ears, and after a little over a month he appeared in our house.

Fomochka week

It's interesting that the kid stoically endured a trip on a roaring, growling motorcycle, racing at a speed of about 90 km per hour, in a box with holes for air to enter. When I opened the box, the tiny fluffy kitten was quite calm and the box was dry. Nothing to say, very brave cat! He only meowed as he drove. A month old kitten sat in my arms and immediately began to explore the space of the house.

In my arms

I named him Fomka on my head. I thought that this is a normal name for a tabby cat: Foma, Fomochka. And my relatives, husband and children, immediately had an association with the “crowbar” tool, with which nails are pulled out.

We laughed and calmed down, I did not change my nickname, because it was the first one that came to my mind. Yes, apparently not in vain came. Fomka immediately began sticking his paws wherever they could penetrate and play with all the things that came across his eyes. He jumped after all the flies and butterflies, climbed onto the curtains and carpets, and we were only surprised at his energy and perseverance.

I don't understand...

What is most interesting, our tabby cat loves to carry ballpoint pens, for which he received an underground nickname "writer" from her husband. I hide them, and he fishes them out of the cracks with his paw, takes them in his teeth like a dog, and plays until the pen gets lost. Fomka also dragged screws and drills from the box from her husband when he worked and left the open box on the floor. Not to mention the other small things that lie within his reach. He takes them in his teeth and carries them to where it is more convenient to play. And what a cat does with a roll of toilet paper is a must see. He takes it off the shelf and vomits like an enemy. Then I just collect shreds around the room. It looks like he's training.

At 2 months the first mouse

And our kitten caught the first mouse at 2 months. I saw her and grabbed her with a lightning movement. True, we showed him the mouse, because he was still small and did not know that he had to hunt. Fomochka played with it for a long time, and then ate it, leaving only the tail. Nearby, no one poisons mice, so we were not afraid that the kitten would get poisoned. Soon there was a second mouse and a third. And then the mice became more careful, occasionally only mice came across. I haven't seen our cat playing with a mouse for a long time.

Very scary!

Our tabby cat is now almost 8 months old. He lived all winter in a warm room, only occasionally I walked him in a snow-covered garden and around our house. Now Fomochka sometimes goes out for a walk on his own through the window, and more often through the door when I go out into the street. He is scared, cold, but very interesting! Unfortunately, I did not photograph some of the amazing moments, for example, how Fomka sniffed the dog nose to nose. And a lot more. For the next story I will photograph interesting scenes.

Here is a story about a kitten, and now almost an adult cat, living in our house.
