But no system is perfect and inappropriate videos can slip through, so we’re constantly working to improve our safeguards and offer more features to help parents create the right experience for their families.
Customize your child’s experience with Parental Controls
Limit screen time: Set a time limit for how long your kids can watch and help encourage their transition from watching to doing.
Keep up with what they watch: Simply check the watch it again page and you’ll always know what they’ve watched and the newest interests they’re exploring.
Blocking: Don’t like a video? Block the video or whole channel, and never see it again.
Flagging: You can always alert us to inappropriate content by flagging a video for review. Flagged videos are reviewed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Create individual experiences as unique as your kids
Create up to eight kid profiles, each with their own viewing preferences, video recommendations, and settings. Choose from “Approved Content Only” mode or select an age category that fits your child, “Preschool”, “Younger”, or “Older”.
Select the “Approved Content Only” mode if you want to handpick the videos, channels and/or collections that you’ve approved your child to watch. In this mode, kids won’t be able to search for videos. The “Preschool” Mode designed for kids 4 and under curates videos that promote creativity, playfulness, learning, and exploration. The “Younger” Mode allows kids 5-8 to explore their interests in a wide variety of topics including songs, cartoons, and crafts. While our “Older” Mode gives kids 9 and up the chance to search and explore additional content such as popular music and gaming videos for kids.

Love this app!
So I think you should get this app because it doesn’t let your kid go on anything inappropriate. If you set it to their age then it will show age appropriate videos. And you can block channels and videos you might think are inappropriate for your kid. And your kid can be educated when they are on the app. Also you kid may also choose their profile picture! And what my kid loves about this app is that there is a cute little intro that shows you kid and me that their in the app. But what I absolutely love about this app is that you can set a timer when this app turns off. So if your little one is on this app then it will not let your kid in any of the videos. Don’t worry if your kid can get into the important stuff to control the app it has a math problem that your kid can’t solve. So this is the reason I think you should really get this app.
SAFETY INSURING PARENTS, CHECK THIS!
We all understand that safety is a primary factor for many online apps these days.
But what comes to a parents’ mind: not all apps base their app on something for kids or minors. Which is truly accurate. If your kid requests an answer for whether or not they could have THIS app though…wow..I gotta say yes. It is actually NOT too good to be true…it’s amazingly filtered and hand-picked videos are selected for little kids and a bit older ones too. It ranges from 4 and under to 9-12. Sure, trusting an online review can be tough. Is this person throwing crazy ideas into a public letter or actually proposing something phenomenal? Go and look into the app yourself. Act as your child, see what they can access. Guaranteed happiness and ensured safety and appropriateness.

I like this app a lot! It’s fun and perfect for kids. And even has special videos for special ages. So if your 12 you get 12 year old appropriate videos. And if your 4 or 5 you get the idea! But anyway this app is very well crafted.
I do however wish that would update the videos more...Some of the videos are old and aren’t really up to date. And sometimes they do put new ones out there. So I guess that is a good thing but also a bad one too.
But the sounds of the app is AWFUL! The video audio is perfect. But the sounds that the app make is VERY pestering if you ask me. Like when you use your finger to scroll through the videos it makes the ugliest noises. So I’m constantly adjusting the audio. But it’s a okay app!

YouTube Kids was designed to make it easier for kids to find and watch fun videos and for parents to control how the app is used.
Safe Content
We take great care to ensure that only family-friendly videos are included in the YouTube Kids collection. To hide unwanted content, we use automatic algorithms, manually review the content, and take into account the opinions of the users themselves. However, since we do not have the ability to watch all the videos in advance, the application may come across inappropriate videos.
Parental control
Set time limits. Don't want your child to use the app for too long? Just set a timer. When the time runs out, the app will automatically close.
Keep track of what videos your child is watching. The list of watched videos is on the "Watch again" page.
Block inappropriate content. Do you think the video is unacceptable? Just block it or the entire channel and such content will be hidden.

The game
Game for small children but normal for others
good app
I like the shutdown timer in this app.
But having chosen the selection of videos for the smallest, the child constantly stumbles upon watching different videos that are not for the smallest. Where harmful children indulge or show all sorts of horror stories. And these videos cannot be deleted from viewing, and the child naturally wants to watch these terrible videos. We need to improve the content for viewing by kids.
