Hello! Today I’m continuing on with my letter of the week show and tell ideas with my 68 show and tell letter K ideas.
Beyond just giving you letter K show and tell ideas I wanted to be sure to mention a few show and tell tips that apply for every letter.
General Show and tell tips:
- Look through your kid’s stuffed animals and action figures. Sometimes you can find a character whose name starts with the letter that you need.
- Look through your child’s books. You might find a book with a title that begins with the letter that you need
- When all else fails have your kiddo take in an alphabet block with the letter on it or a an alphabet letter magnet.
- My son once took in a picture that he colored from a coloring book. The picture was of something that started with the letter of the week and he loved showing off his artwork during share time.
And this won’t help you think of anything but this last tip will help keep you out of a bind-

Alphabet English "Animals" - Children's toys wholesale
Alphabet English "Animals"
The English alphabet "Animals" is intended for children from 3 years old.
Description:
The English alphabet "Animals" is made of wood - environmentally friendly and hypoallergenic material.
Kit includes:
Wooden panel with letter cutouts – 1 pc.
Three lines with additional letters for laying out words and syllables.
English alphabet.
Under each letter there is a picture, the name of which begins with this letter, collected in a single theme - animals.
How useful are inserts of the English alphabet?
1. Develop eye, hand-eye coordination.
2. With the help of this teaching material, children easily and quickly memorize the English alphabet.
3. Fine motor skills develop. By inserting a letter into a certain frame, the child perfectly trains his fingers.
4. Development of visual memory, attention and perseverance.
5. Learns to read in English. Compose words.
6. The child acquires the skill of sound - letter analysis. The letters are in red and blue. Clearly distinguish between vowels and consonants. Red letters are vowels, blue letters are consonants.
How to play?
Fold letters in certain frames. Ask the kid to find his own “picture - a house” for each letter. Important! Be sure to pronounce not only letters, but also pictures for each letter, animal names in English. This didactic material will be very useful to you if you not only call the child a letter, but also note that, for example, the word Bear (bear) begins with the letter B. And what letter does this word end with? Such exercises train auditory attention well, and children memorize English words well.
After you have learned all the letters, you can move on to composing words. Important! The first words should be simple, one and two compound.
How else can you play?
Make words from the given alphabet. Shuffle cards or pictures. Invite the child to read the words and find the right pictures for these words. If the child finds it difficult to read the word, read it yourself in English. fox. (Fox). Ask a question in English: where is the fox? (Where is the fox?) If the child finds it difficult to find the fox, repeat the question in English and find the picture yourself. Here is the fox! (here is a fox). Place the picture under the correct word. I found a fox! (I found a fox). Important! Try not to translate your remarks into Russian, help your child understand the meaning of what was said through actions. Such immersion in a language environment with game elements helps the child not only remember the alphabet, learn to read and correctly remember the spelling of words in English, but also train the understanding of spoken English well.
Another game, more difficult, is to compose under the picture - a word from the alphabet in English, and next to it - the translation of this word - from the alphabet in Russian, as in the figure below.
Tip! For more efficient work, you can purchase two editions of the English alphabet and editions of the Russian alphabet.
Dimensions: 352x285x9 mm
Weight: 464 gr.
GAMES TO LEARN LETTERS
GAMES TO LEARN LETTERS
When it's time to learn the alphabet, it doesn't have to be boring, especially in the summer when you want to run, jump and have fun. Why shouldn't a child memorize 33 letters easily and effortlessly. We offer options.
1. "In plain sight"
Almost 80% of children have developed visual perception, so let the letters with which the child is already familiar more often catch the eye. These can be posters, fridge magnets, drawings on objects. Already from 2-3 years old, you can ask the child the question “What is this letter here?”.
2. "Puzzles"
Letter puzzles can be bought or made by yourself. Handmade option: draw a large letter, name it, leave it for the child to decorate. Then cut the picture into four or five parts and ask to assemble, saying: “What letter do we get?”. Arrange or color pictures whose names begin with this letter. You can collect letters from the age of 4.
3. Device
There are special programs or toys in the form of tablets designed to get acquainted with letters. The child presses the button, and the voice from the speaker says the name of the letter. There is a reverse "exam" mode, when the same voice asks you to find and press the desired character. Can be used from 3-4 years old.
4. "Associations"
Each letter can be associated with a word. A classic example is "d" - house. It is necessary, together with the child, to come up with and draw a word that begins with the desired letter. A more difficult option is to depict the word in the form of its initial letter, for example, so that the letter “d” looks like a house. The letter "a" small is a letter with a tummy and a tail. You can learn the alphabet with the help of associations from 4-5 years old.
5. "Sleuth"
Write in large letters several letters in a row. The task is to find the right one and highlight it. You can write letters randomly inside a geometric figure or continue: after searching, write out the letters found below so that at the end you get a word (as a transition to learning to read). The game also trains mindfulness. Suitable for children from 4-5 years old.
6. "Become a letter"
The letter must be depicted with the body. How exactly - the small player will decide. For example, the letter "g" can be shown by putting one hand forward. Letters can be drawn on the back and palms: “Guess what I drew? (wrote) "The game will be interesting from 5 years old.
7. "Do It Yourself"
The letter can be made: sculpted, cut out, assembled from a constructor or folded into an appliqué from cereal planted on glue. Then she will definitely be remembered. You can start by tracing and coloring a letter written by an adult, writing on anchor points and an outline.
