The Best Color Songs for Kids

These color songs for kids will make learning about the colors around us fun and exciting! We think they’re some of the best songs for kids.

There are so many great ways to use colors with children. Think about I Spy games. Or I even use colors for transitions. “If you’re wearing red, go get in line for lunch.”  There are so many ways to incorporate colors into your day, and color songs are some of our favorites.

Want a great visual for teaching colors? We have some color cards that are perfect and FREE! Use them for circle time, small groups, homeschool, or as labels! They include the color names in both English and Spanish. Get them here in our VIP Subscriber Library when you join our email list.

To tie these color songs beautifully into your preschool curriculum, we have an entire theme based on colors in our shop!  Find themed activities, games, printables, and more in our colors lesson plan in our preschool store!

How to Stream Music in the Classroom or at Home

If you want to get songs without the ads from YouTube, there are a couple simple solutions. You can click the songs directly from this post, and it should take away most of the ads. Screen it first to make sure it works for your needs.

If you are using just audio, I have Amazon Music Unlimited. It isn’t free, but well worth it for me because we use it each day between the classroom and home. If you would want to download more than 10 songs a month, it’s worth its weight in gold!

It’s compatible with your phone, electronic devices, Alexa, and computer. What’s great is that I can download the songs while I’m home on my phone using wifi with the Amazon Music app. Then the songs are always there on my phone, and I can play them in the classroom, the car, or anywhere else.

There is also a 2 million song music library with Amazon Prime. That’s how I started, but then I eventually switched to Amazon Music Unlimited because it has nearly every song.

Have the perfect song at your fingertips whenever you need it! Grab our free printable below of some of the best kids’ songs.

Color Song for Children by The Learning Station

Our friends at The Learning Station hit another home run with this great color song! Each color is shown on a t-shirt, and kids who are wearing that color are encouraged to do a specific action. The actions rhyme with the color, which brings a super important reading skill to the song. Colors, movement, rhyming, literacy – what more do you need?!

What Color Is It? by Jack Hartmann

One of our favorites, Jack Hartmann, is back with this fun colors song. His wacky costumes and fun visuals are sure to be a hit with your kids! He shows common objects and asks the kids to name the color, which will keep them engaged and thinking during the whole song. I also love that he includes the color titles in text, so kids get early practice seeing how they’re written.

Look at All the Colors I Can See by ABCmouse.com

I LOVE it when people take familiar tunes and put different words to them in order to teach! Music is a fantastic teaching tool, and using a song that’s already familiar immediately hooks a child’s attention to whatever comes next! This one uses “She’ll be Comin’ Round the Mountain.”

Los Colores: The Colors in Spanish Song by Risas y Sonrisas Spanish for Kids

Speaking of using familiar tunes to teach a new concept, check out Los Colores! Learning the color names in Spanish doesn’t get any easier than this!

What’s your Favorite Color? by Super Simple Learning

What’s YOUR favorite color? Adorable puppets share their favorite colors, and then they all combine at the end to make a rainbow. Your kids will love this bright and happy colors song for preschool.

Colors Song for Kids by Bounce Patrol

I award Bounce Patrol ten bonus points for this colors song! They wear shirts of different colors and then … wait for it … HUG each other to mix the colors! It’s an adorable way to introduce the concept of color mixing. Yay for learning preschool science through song!

Colors Song for Children by Patty Shukla

A sweet colors song for kids! The video shows common objects and talks about what color they are. This can be an easy introduction to doing the same thing in your classroom – hold up an object and have the kids name the color!

Rainbow Colors Song by The Singing Walrus

The rainbow colors are presented in a fun rock song! Some of the lyrics are sung, but they also encourage kids to chant along to the beat at times. Chanting and singing are actually very different skills, and both are important to early music education!

The Colors Song by ABCmouse.com

Another preschool colors song that is a super fun way to introduce the concept of primary and secondary colors, as well as color mixing. I love the tune and beat of this one, and the tight harmonies!

Color Song for Kids by Dream English Kids

This color song would be perfect for toddlers! It shows each color, along with its title, on a balloon that dreamily floats away. Super sweet and captivating!

The Rainbow Song by Signing Time

I love it any time our little learners get a chance to learn some sign language. You might have to watch it a few times before they’ll master them, but this catchy tune will teach the signs for the colors of the rainbow. The signs are first demonstrated by a hearing child and then a deaf child.

Colors All Around by Jack Hartmann

Jack amazingly turns a colors song into a music and movement song and it’s MAGICAL!

Songs about mother - the best children's texts about dear mother

Probably, there is no concept for us closer, dearer and more intimate than mother. Even as adults, we still carefully store memories of her in our memory.

The project of Natalia Faustova "Lullabies for the Whole Family" has collected for you the texts of the best songs about mother, whose words affect something deep and important in the heart of each of us. You can also listen to many of these compositions online on our website.

Songs about mom: texts for preschool children

1. "I love my mother" - words and music by E. Obukhova. № Song for the smallest.

I will give flowers to my beloved mother,
Because I am her dear daughter.

Gentle, sweet, the most beautiful.
I love my mother and love everyone more.
Delicate, sweet, the most beautiful.
I love my mother and love everyone more.

I will hug you tightly, kiss you on the cheek,
Because I am your dear daughter.

2. "Mother's Day" - lyrics. M. Saudi, music. Yu. Tugarinova . Because of its simple imagery and repetitions, this song is easy to learn for children even 3-5 years old.

Spring day,
Not frosty,
Cheerful day
And mimosa -
It's mother's day,
It's mother's day!

Cloudless day,
Not snowy,
Excited day
And gentle -
It's mother's day,
It's mother's day!

Spacious day,
Not capricious,
Gift day,
Surprise -
It's Mother's Day,
It's Mother's Day!

3. "Song of a mammoth" - lyrics. D. Neponyaschaya, music. V. Shainsky. This must be the saddest song about mom. All children know the heartbreaking story about a mammoth and his new mother-elephant.

On the blue sea, to the green land
I am sailing on my white ship.
On his white ship,
On his white ship.
Neither the waves nor the wind frighten me -
I'm sailing to the only mother in the world.
I swim through the waves and the wind
To the only mother in the world.
I swim through the waves and the wind
To the only mother in the world.

I want to get to the ground as soon as possible,
"I'm here, I've arrived!" - I'll scream at her.
I will shout to my mother,
I will shout to my mother...
Let my mother hear, let my mother come,
Let my mother find me without fail!
After all, it does not happen in the world,
So that children are lost.
After all, it does not happen in the world,
So that children are lost.

After all, it should not be like this in the world,
So that children were lost ...

4. "Mom's smile" - words and music by Olga Osipova. Another touching lyrics about mom, which will appeal to both very young children and older preschoolers.

Every day and every hour
Mom loves us very much,
Surrounding us with care and affection.
A golden ray of childhood,
Flashing a star in the sky,
Kindness carries it from a fairy tale.

Mom will smile -
The sun will laugh,
Pouring bright light everywhere.
Mom's smile
Leaves in the heart
The kindest
A bright trace in life.

My dear mother,
I love you very much!
You will always be by my side.
You will scold sometimes,
You will say kind words
And you will warm your soul with your look.

In a difficult hour, when trouble,
Mom will always help out,
After all, there is no truer friend in the world.
And everyone, yes, yes,
Mom-mom is one.
Adults and children love her.

5. "Freckles for Mom" - words and music by E. Obukhova. This song is suitable for children 5-6 years old. It is then that children especially actively pour out all their love and affection for their mother through gifts, drawings, crafts and, of course, songs.

The sun gave me freckles,
Because I love the sun
And my beloved mother-girlfriend
I will give freckles.
She will smile at the summer
And at the beautiful mother Earth.
Let my love fly around the world.
I give you all my love.

Mommy, mommy.
Eyes - blue clouds.
You are good, you are spring.
Given to me by the bright sky.

I will take raindrops in my hands
And wash myself with clean water.
I will give raindrops to my mother.
I will always be with you.
Clouds will smile from the sky,
Water paths and fields.
I will always try for you,
My dear mother.

Songs about mother for schoolchildren

1. “But I don’t notice toys . ..” - words. T. Grafchikova, music. Luchnikov. The words of this kind and slightly sad song are full of love and, if necessary, will help the child cope with temporary separation.

Well, how could this happen?
No one will ask the children about anything.
A fast train rushes along the rails,
Takes my mother somewhere.
Well, who allowed children to be left without their mothers for so long
?
But I'm only a little bored,
And soon my mother will arrive.

But I don’t notice toys,
I stubbornly repeat the same thing:
"I'm waiting for you, I miss you, mom!"
But I don't notice the toys,
I stubbornly repeat the same thing:
"I'm waiting for you, I miss you, mom!"

But in life it often happens like this -
Mom's work is more important, after all
But I miss her here so much,
She can't come again.
And so much has changed without you,
And the sun shines so differently,
But I'm just a little bored,
And soon my mother will arrive.

2. "Mom" - words. Y. Bogacheva, music. S. Vedernikova. The lyrics of this and other songs are often like stories. They talk about how much work it is and what a joy it is to be a mother.

You knit, or maybe you sew,
Or maybe you cook your dinner.
And there outside the windows the rain
Unintentionally splashed puddles.
And there bad weather and gloom
Thicken heavenly colors.
And the night puts on its coat.
And it's time to tell stories.

Oh, mother, mother, mother,
Sit down for a while, or something.
Listen to what I want to tell you.
Oh, mother, mother, mother,
Well, do you want to go to school tomorrow
Will I get only "five plus"?

The clock is slowing down,
They also get up early in the morning.
And there outside the windows snow
Weaves lace from a snowstorm.
And there, under the snowdrifts, a blizzard
A melted stream makes its way.
And I won't forget your hands,
And eyes, and tired smile.

3. "The best" - lyrics. O. Fadeeva, music. V. Ivannikova. This is a lullaby song for mother from her grown children. Her gentle, touching words are full of deep meaning and warmth.

Rocking us in the cradle,
Mothers sang songs to us,
And now it's time for us to sing a song for our mothers
.
:
Children are all in the world
They call me mother
Sweet, good,
Dearest!

At night, the stars outside the window
Scatter like peas,
Mom keeps our peace,
We will fall asleep - she does not sleep.

Let's grow up and be ourselves
We take care of our mother,
In the meantime, we'll bring her
Joy with our song.

Adult lyrics about mom

1. "Hello, mother" - lyrics. Robert Rozhdestvensky, music. David Tukhmanov. The duet of two wonderful authors created a song that even a man is not ashamed to sing.

Hello mother!
Again I dream of your song.
Hello mom!
Light as a memory, your tenderness.

This world is not so golden from the sun,
It is filled to the brim with your kindness.

Chorus
There are a lot of good people on earth,
There are a lot of hearty people,
And, nevertheless, the best on earth -
Mother, my mother.
Hello mom!

You are weakening -
Your strength is leaving me.
You are getting old -
Your years are leaving me.

All the same, despite any years,
You will be young for me forever!

Work hard
Your hands for ten lives.
Your grandchildren were born
Under this sky.

You again sing a lullaby,
And in your granddaughter, you suddenly recognize yourself.

2. "Mom" - this song was performed by Svetlana Lazareva. Very tender, touching, beautiful, she will surely appeal to many.

Far, far away in a quiet city
In the middle of the earth, alone in a dark room
Praying for my God's salvation
My midnight pilgrimage.

She prays for one thing: "God bless!"
And wax candles burn in the window all night.
So that, having lost faith and love,
My lost soul found the light.

Mom, mom, you alone will not betray and stop loving.
In this world and in another, you will always be with me.
I'm going to you alone, wounded in the heart.
Mom, mom, you are my stone wall.

The night is black, the path is not led, the darkness is bottomless,
And the dark forces prophesy troubles for me.
But two insomniacs keep me in the darkness:
Mother's eyes and, moreover, the Mother of God.

They say that I have never been sad.
Only you know, my dear,
How many times, beaten by fate without pity,
I survived by your prayers.

From that troubles could not break me,
What is far, far away in the middle of the earth
Praying to God for my salvation
My midnight pilgrimage.

3. "Mom" - words. E. Usacheva, music. A. Ryazantsev. Author's song with a sad, minor mood.

I was stupid as a child,
I didn't know what life was,
And I didn't understand that it's easy to be bad,
And your heart is so easy to break.
How many troubles you endured in vain,
This is only my fault!
And I always dreamed that everything would be fine,
But I only hurt you painfully.

Mom, dear mom!
I see only sadness in your eyes.
I was stubborn in my actions.
Mom, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

Mom, I don't know what to do!
Mommy, please: I'm sorry, I'm sorry!
Oh my God, how I want you to sing me again
A lullaby by my bed.

Songs about mom: lyrics and music

1. “Mom came” - lyrics. and music by Zoya Yashchenko, the White Guard group. This adult touching, aching heart will not leave anyone indifferent.

Mom came, beautiful.
In a blue linen summer dress.
In black shoes with white buckles
On the transparent steps of sleep.

She sat down next to me,
Touched her forehead with her hand,
And her hands smell of herbs
And a little more flour.

- She baked a pie with an apple,
It cools down there, by the window ...
And is silent. And then, in a half-whisper:
- Very soon there will be a war ...

- No! Can't be! Well, what kind of war?
I know it's a dream!
And she opens the window wide open:
– Look how the maple is burning!

How you grew up, my girl,
While I lived across the river...
Puts an amulet around my neck
And looks with unearthly longing.

And outside the windows there is a blue fog,
A red horse tramples apples,
Pigeons rush under the roof,
And everywhere there is a big fire.

Blue dress, shoes with buckles,
The smell of autumn, a lump in the throat,
Mom walks along the southern streets
And she can't find my house.

The hand slipped under the pillow.
The ringing of early morning silence...
Wake me up, bells,
I don't like such dreams!

2. "Mom" - words. and music. Elena Obukhova. Author's song about maternal love. You can try playing this song using the sheet music provided.

Immense beauty,
Breadth and holy purity
She possesses - mother.
In this human life,
A flowing stormy river,
God has given us all a mother.
Her face through the years
Let it stay with us always,
And love will be reborn forever.
And your Milky Way,
Mother, mother. With us dear mother.

Blue sky
With a silvery scattering of stars,
Give her a big moon.
And with clear water
Through the fast flowing stream
Give me your holy song.
And the silence of the fields
With the scent of spring flowers,
Whisper to her tenderly with love.
And with its sinless purity
And with its generous beauty
"Mom", "mother" is a bright word.
