Teaches pre-k kids about science, fun to watch

This charming program follows a boy named Sid, a very curious kid, through a school day. Sid starts the day with a question, and the class explores the science behind it with simple experiments and class discussion. The program's tone is very light and humorous, filled with lots of music and jokes, and it is effective for teaching natural science. The show is CG animated, but it contains live-action segments of kids in school performing experiments. Sid himself appears to be in first or second grade, but the show is aimed at pre-K and kindergärtners too, as there is no reading involved, just a lot of music and exploration.

Hey Sid, whatcha gonna teach us today?

    Verified purchase

We have been fans of Sid the Science Kid since he first came out on PBS. With multiple kids, we've watched him for years. Literally years. After they went off the air, the series appeared on Netflix so we continued to get our fill of Sid there. They took him off Netflix a few months ago and my youngest asks for him still so this is perfect. She gets a 22 minute science-oriented episode on some actually pretty complex topics for a toddler show, ranging from estimation to reversible change to incline planes and I get 22 minutes to make dinner. Then she gets to share what she learned with everyone. It's a win-win.

I do wish it was included with our Prime subscription. That's the only thing that would make it better.

Why Formula 1 has bad guys already available to subscribers (translated from English)

Russian Haas racer Nikita MazepinPhoto: GLOBAL LOOK PRESS

F1 rookie Nikita Mazepin's recent pranks and the ensuing media storm recalled the antics of James Hunt many years ago. Hunt was a Formula 1 superstar and no one has ever matched him in his ability to present himself effectively. The appearance of Mazepin promises to mark the return of the bad guys and their charm.

James Hunt was an incredibly important figure in the commercial development of Formula One. In the 1970s, this sport was in the shadows, and television companies were not interested in it. Hunt has contributed more than any other driver to the great commercial success of Formula One. He was like Tarzan, the superhero who took the sport to heights that he could not even dream of.

Now, 45 years later, a new bad boy star is born - 21-year-old Nikita Mazepin. This is an attractive guy who also likes girls. In many ways, he is exactly the man that Formula 1 has been waiting for. Provided that Formula 1 will allow him to be himself.

Today in this sport there is a dominance of examples of virtue, people who want their actions to be perceived as right, even if they do wrong. These people can let Mazepin blossom, or they can nip him in the bud, as they tried to do last year when Nikita was caught fooling around with a couple of girls in his car.

But Mazepin was the last to laugh at the critics when his popularity and worldwide recognition skyrocketed. Prior to the incident, Mazepin was virtually unknown; no one knew who he was, and no one even cared about him. He was just one of a long line of riders. Now he is one of the most famous drivers on the grid.

Nikita Mazepin made his Formula 2000 debut in 2014 at the age of 16. In his first race, he competed against James Hunt's son Freddie and Niki Lauda's son Matthias. That season, he won the podium and finished 10th in the championship.

In 2015, he competed in the Toyota Racing Series and Formula Renault without much success.

Despite this, he entered the European Formula 3 Championship in 2016. But for the Hi-Tech Grand Prix team, it was a disappointing season. He had four points finishes and finished the championship in 20th place, the lowest position among drivers who started in each race. It is noteworthy that he took his first victory in the British Formula 3 race at the Snetterton circuit. This victory probably saved his career. He relied on the financial backing of his billionaire father, Dmitry Mazepin, a major shareholder in Uralkali, one of the world's leading potash producers. This victory was enough for my father to keep faith in him.

But his season was marked by an incident with another driver, Callum Ilott, during the F3 European Championship race weekend at the Hungaroring on Friday 22 April 2016. Mazepin has known Ilott well since they were on the same karting team. During the second qualifying session, Ilott blocked Mazepin from entering the fastest lap. When, at the end of the race, they stopped in the pits, Mazepin got out of the car and ran to Ilott, angry that he prevented him from driving a circle on fresh tires. An angry skirmish followed, and when Ilott did not express any remorse, Mazepin became completely furious. Ilott just shrugged his shoulders and turned his back on him, mumbling some very unpleasant words with a mention of Mazepin's Russian origin.

Mazepin went berserk and hit Ilott in the face. Those standing nearby rushed to separate the two riders. But as soon as Mazepin was released, he hit the opponent again and even harder. Ilott, who was too shocked to even try to resist, was left with cuts on his cheek, a black eye, scratches on his neck, and a rapidly swollen jaw.

The stewards called two team directors, Fritz van Amersfoort of the Van Amersfoort Racing team that Ilott competed in, and Oliver Oakes of the Hi-Tech Grand Prix team. Oakes defended his driver very well, and the extremely emotional van Amersfoort was indignant and indignant, which did not impress the stewards. Oakes calmly noted that Ilott used offensive language that provoked Mazepin. The stewards found Mazepin's behavior unacceptable, but were equally shocked that Ilott chose words with a racist connotation.

The stewards spent more than nine hours deciding what to do. They eventually found the young Russian guilty of "unsportsmanlike behavior in the paddock" and banned him from the first race of the weekend.

Fritz van Amersfoort was outraged by this condescending decision: “The decision of the stewards is simply ridiculous. Callum was hit twice in the face. The first reaction could have been emotional, but then they were separated, but he was attacked again. Van Amersfoort also criticized the stewards for taking so long to make a decision: “When you make a tackle on the football field and another player kicks you, he immediately gets a red card. I am completely disappointed with the stewards and the FIA."

Oliver Oakes was more optimistic and was probably relieved by the verdict: “I don't know what the precedent is for this decision. Although Nikita's reaction was over the top, I think they felt certain words were spoken in the heat of the moment that were not really meant. Nikita is a young man who at that time was full of adrenaline, and now he deeply regrets what he did.

This incident was reminiscent of James Hunt's famous run-in with Dave Morgan 50 years ago. It was also during the Formula 3 race at the old Crystal Palace circuit on the first weekend of October 1970 years. It was an unusual race as the BBC broadcast it live on television. Broadcasting a Formula 3 race live on a network TV channel was almost unheard of. In those days, even Formula 1 was not shown live.

Following Günther Steiner, the media erupted into a storm of indignation. It is certain that this was the first time he commentated on a race with James Hunt, and his future BBC commentary booth partner made an unfavorable impression at the time.

The race was dominated by Lotus driver Dave Walker, but the fight for second place was fast and furious as James Hunt's Lotus battled the March cars of Mike Böttler and Dave Morgan.

Morgan and Hunt fought aggressively for second place, determined to prove themselves on television in front of the two million viewers who watched the race.

When Walker took the checkered flag, Böttler was in second, ahead of Morgan and Hunt. Hunt unexpectedly calmed down in fourth place as he ran out of funding and didn't want to damage his car.

Morgan cornered desperately at the last corner to get ahead of Böttler. In the process, it hooked Hunt's Lotus and what was later described as a "wreckage explosion" occurred. Hunt's Lotus had two right wheels come off as Morgan crashed hard into a concrete wall. Hunt's car stopped in the middle of the track, and the rest of the cars went around it.

James Hunt was enveloped in a red veil as he got out of his car, apparently oblivious to the other fireballs speeding by. Literally jumping out of his overalls, Hunt rubbed his eyes and looked through the smoke and debris for Morgan. He noticed how he bent over his wrecked car and ran to the scene of the accident. Without hesitation or warning, he hit Morgan with a right hook to the jaw. Morgan had time to look at Hunt and yell "whatoooo" before falling to the ground, unconscious.

This was not enough for Hunt, and he yelled at Morgan to stand up like a man and accept the punishment. The entire incident, from crash to impact, was over in less than a minute. But the TV cameras were perfectly positioned on the starting line and broadcast live close-ups. Cameras caught Hunt poking Morgan's prostrate body to bring him back to his senses and hit him again. But before that could happen, the marshals quickly dragged Hunt away. Otherwise, the fight would have continued live.

Murray Walker, in the commentary booth above the starting line, couldn't believe his eyes. He called Hunt "an archetypal, vociferous, completely irresponsible dude" and, to be more accurate, added that Hunt was "inadequate, emotional and cruel."

Back in the paddock, Hunt immediately called his teammates together and formally protested to the stewards about Morgan's driving style. Morgan argued that Hunt should have been charged with dangerous behavior as he walked without paying attention to cars still speeding at full speed to get to him in the pit lane. Morgan said, "I was amazed that he didn't get shot down."

Hunt's actions were deemed justified and Morgan was found guilty of dangerous driving and suspended from racing for 12 months, the most severe punishment ever given to a pilot. Even Hunt admitted that the 12-month ban for Morgan was "totally unfair." Morgan was made the scapegoat to eradicate the wild driving style that marked Formula Three at the time. Morgan eventually appealed and the 12-month ban was overturned.

The replay of this incident was shown all over the world, and thus James Hunt earned his reputation. Everyone immediately recognized his name, he attracted the attention of Alexander Hesketh and, in the end, moved to Formula 1. The rest is history.

After the almost unnoticed incident with Ilott, Nikita Mazepin continued his struggle on the slippery path of motorsport. He then competed in Formula 3 with the Hi-Tech team. His second season at the top of the pyramid went much better, scoring 108 points and finishing on the podium three times.

In 2018, Mazepin switched to GP3 to race for the ART Grand Prix team alongside his old sparring partner Callum Ilott and the late Antoine Hubert. That year, he showed his true potential and scored four victories (the most of any driver that year), finishing second in the championship, while he was only 16 points behind the champion Hubert. The team also took first place in the GP3 championship. Mazepin finished the season with 198 points, Ilott with 167. Only the consistency of Hubert's performances with his 11 podiums in 18 races brought him the championship title.

In 2019, Mazepin moved to Formula 2 and partnered with Nick de Vries on the ART Grand Prix team. The season was remembered only by the accident with Nobuharu Matsushita in Sochi. Mazepin collided with Matsushita, who crashed very hard into the pit wall, after which he received another blow, as Mazepin's out of control car also hit the barrier. The rest of the season was a complete disaster as Nyck de Vries won the championship and Mazepin finished in 18th place.

The following year, Mazepin re-signed with the Hi-Tech Grand Prix Team to drive alongside Italian Luca Ghiotto in Formula 2. In 2020, Mazepin was not expected to do much, but he consistently scored points, periodically taking podiums and victories. He made his first podium at the Hungaroring, where he finished second, and his first F2 win at Silverstone. He snatched another victory at the Mugello track.

His best moment was in the first race in Bahrain, when two races took place on the same day. He led the race from the very beginning, but then fell behind due to tire wear. He did enough to get a super license and move into F1 with the Haas team. And then there was the incident described above, after which his name was known even before the first race in Formula 1, and he himself became the brightest personality on the grid since James Hunt.

Mazepin was not expected to do much, but he steadily scored points, periodically taking podiums and victories. His best moment was in the first race in Bahrain, when two races took place on the same day. He led the race and did enough to get a super license.

Nikita Mazepin will never be James Hunt. Such behavior is not possible in the modern era. However, there is hope that Mazepin will retain his flamboyant bad boy image and become a cult hero of racing. Like Hunt many years ago.

James Hunt's secret was that he was never afraid to live his life, even if it made some people sad. This meant that he could do anything: something that others do not even think about. And all because he never knew and did not understand what it means to be embarrassed. People said he didn't have the embarrassment gene. However, the absence of the embarrassment gene has never been discussed or analyzed. Of course, if he had been born with this gene, his life would have been smoother, and Formula 1 would have lost a lot. Hunt was also a "sexaholic", which was an unheard epithet at 1970 year. Hunt himself believed that he suffered - in his own words - "stunted emotional development."

Sarah Lomax, Hunt's widow, had the best understanding of her husband's character flaws. She reacts sharply to people who mistake the lack of embarrassment for arrogance: “There was no arrogance in James, I already knew him. He may have seemed arrogant, but deep down he wasn't like that at all. It was just about his behavior or his reactions.” She explained, "He was very modest on the inside." This echoes former Lotus team director Peter Collins, who was close to Hunt in his later years: “James was just a terribly decent man with certain flaws that he couldn't always control. I would even say that he was one of the most truly decent men I have ever met.

Hunt's rebelliousness often showed in his choice of clothing. There were always problems with his wardrobe, or rather lack of it. At the first opportunity and for no particular reason, he took off his top, jeans, and often remained in the skimpiest underwear or swimming trunks. He often walked around the Formula 1 paddock in swimming trunks without showing the slightest embarrassment. Sometimes it seemed that he could just as well walk around naked. But more often than not, he wore a sleeveless vest-type shirt and shorts, no shoes and no socks.

Hunt's addiction to alcohol was, of course, legendary. But Hunt was never an alcoholic. He only drank in his free time; he just enjoyed it immensely. At the same time, alcohol itself never created any special problems and did not change his personality at all. He's certainly never been a nasty drunk. In fact, it was the opposite: in a state of intoxication, he was a very, very pleasant person.

Admittedly, some of his drunken adventures were very funny.

Professor Sid Watkins recalls that he often noticed Hunt's strange habits: “I always remember that when he finished the race, he had two black bags: one full of beer cans and the other empty cans. And he took them everywhere with him. He drinks a can and puts it in his bag. I mean, he really enjoyed it."

Watkins recalled another incident when they were returning to London from a race: “We flew in and were waiting for luggage, and then James drove out on the baggage carousel instead of suitcases. He sat in the lotus position and rode in circles on the conveyor."

The late John Hogan said he never considered Hunt's lack of embarrassment to be a problem, but admitted that he was never really uncomfortable. However, in Hunt's defense, Hogan said that most of the top riders had "quirks" in character, and pointed to Niki Lauda's well-known callousness as a prime example of yet another character defect. Hogan was friends with both drivers and once witnessed an incident which he described as follows: “I was with James at Brands Hatch. It was a training day. Some kid approached Niki with a book of Lauda fans and asked him to caption the photo. The kid stared wide-eyed and clumsily held this book. Nicky asked, "Where's the pen?" The kid took out a pen and tried to shelter the book from the rain, and Nicky snatched it from him, signed it and simply said: “Thanks, bye.” And turned away. James told me, “See? This is a stale beast." James hated it, hated it - just hated it."

Lauda was, of course, the exact opposite of Hunt in this respect. Hunt was very good at dealing with situations like this, which is why he was so loved by the British fans. Hunt sincerely loved people and liked to communicate with ordinary people. And this did not bother him either, although it could cause embarrassment in a person with his merits and upbringing. Generosity of spirit lay at the heart of his character.

Many of those who never saw the brighter side of James Hunt thought his antics were just "bad behavior" rooted in those ten years at an elite school- boarding school, for which he developed a tremendous self-confidence that allowed him to do whatever he wanted, in public and without embarrassment.

Of course, it was at boarding school that Hunt gained unshakable self-confidence and determination to overcome adversity. But, despite all the obvious shortcomings, James Hunt knew how to win over and show sincerity, although he did not show this side of himself to everyone.

However, sometimes it seemed that his whole life was spent in search of excuses for his daring antics.

    Nikita Mazepin Incident

In December 2020, a media outcry arose from Günther Steiner, CTO of the Haas team, who called Nikita Mazepin "disgusting". The response to a minor incident was overreaction. The consequences were not long in coming, and soon Steiner's words became more important than the incident itself.

Guenther Steiner is probably not a member of the High Mile Club. He probably doesn't even know what it is. He also probably never had sex with a girl in the back of a car. Cars aren't designed for that. If you don't believe me, ask Gunther. And I have little doubt that Gunther has sex exclusively with his wife, and before marriage, he lived - I'm sure - an absolute virgin (and deserves respect for that). And, without a doubt, Gunther is a hypocrite.

Long story short, Gunther doesn't live in the real world where normal 21-year-old boys have fun with girls. Such entertainment may not always be appropriate, but nevertheless it is entertainment, and nothing more.

I remember once, when I was 17, driving my father's Land Rover with my first official girlfriend, Jenny. Jenny began to do something completely inappropriate to me, moving in and out of sight. Suddenly, a siren wailed and blue lights flashed. We completely panicked, Jenny got herself and me in order.

The policeman had no fun at all, and neither did we. We behaved in the most inappropriate way. But it was inappropriate consensual behavior (although in fact I did not agree, but simply did not object).

The policeman scolded us, but he only talked about driving without proper control of the car, and he (fortunately) never mentioned what really happened between us. We had no idea what the policeman was going to do, but the imagination was already drawing how we were brought before the local court, and the egregious details were printed in the local newspaper. It would be terrible.

Public condemnation would be truly terrible. Both of us would probably have been expelled from college at the very least. In the end, I think I got a ticket for reckless driving, but there was no mention of our "games" in it.

But then another problem arose, even more serious: how to explain the fine to my (and her) parents.

At that time Jenny and I had one dog for two (who was very unfortunately named Reveler). In the end, we came up with a wonderful trick and told my father that when I was stopped, Reveler was sitting on my lap (which was not so far from the truth), which is why I was fined. Luckily, the trick worked, and my parents (and Jenny's parents) never found out. My dad gleefully paid the £17 fine and told me not to do it again.

I first told this story because it makes me feel embarrassed. But, perhaps, she serves as an example of the typical behavior of young people, even in our era of political correctness.

In general, 21-year-old Nikita Mazepin was in a car with two girls. They fooled around, and one girl filmed everything on her cell phone. Nikita briefly placed his hand on one girl's bare chest while another girl removed him. It was a joke, harmless entertainment, nothing more, nothing less, and the girl posted the video without a second thought on Nikita's page on the social network.

Nikita Mazepin is a handsome 21-year-old Formula 1 driver who is also very rich. He attracts girls, every girl dreams of him. Naturally, this video did not go unnoticed, and the righteous were indignant. Then Günter Steiner, technical director of the team in which Mazepin plays, uttered the word "disgusting." In a statement, he said: “The Haas F1 team does not condone Nikita Mazepin's behavior in the video recently posted on his social media page. In addition, the very fact of posting videos on social networks is also "disgusting" to the Haas F1 team. We will look into this matter within the team ourselves and will not comment further at this time."

This caused an uproar in the media, and the rider was strongly condemned. Not only was he condemned by the mainstream media for what happened, he was also condemned as a "character" in the media of the motorsports industry.

Formula 1 is now in desperate need of bright personalities. Few of the drivers competing today have a strong personality and this is becoming more of a problem as pre- and post-race interviews become more and more boring.

Instead of branding his act as "disgusting", Gunther should have said, "Guys are guys, but I'll talk to him because that's not really the kind of video about our drivers that we want to see on social media." Such a response would be reasonable and adequate. And everyone would have nodded, agreed with Gunther, and the incident would have been instantly forgotten.

But because of the word "disgusting", he was not forgotten, and instead the mass media started bacchanalia.

When Günther Steiner used the word "disgusting", he clearly did not understand what it meant. This adjective means "nasty, nauseating, repulsive, repulsive." The actions of Nikita Mazepin cannot be called any of these words. And how will the saintly Gunther now work with a man whom he considers "nasty, nauseating, disgusting, repulsive"? Short answer: no way, because if he does, he's an absolute hypocrite. And if it does happen, then he needs to apologize to Mazepin for his "wrong" choice of words.

Nikita Mazepin was forced to humbly (and therefore even more shamefully) apologize. He actually apologized for showing himself to be a "normal" person when he said, "I would like to apologize for my recent actions, both for the very fact of my inappropriate behavior and for posting on social media. I apologize for the misconduct I have committed and for the disgrace I have brought on the Haas F1 team. As a Formula 1 driver, I have to adhere to stricter rules and I admit that I did not perform at my best and let many people down. I promise to learn from this lesson.

Gunther Steiner called Nikita Mazepin "disgusting". Photo: Graphics by Alexander L Sargent/ "BusinessF1"

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) then issued a statement: “We strongly support the Haas F1 team in their response to the recent misbehavior of their driver Nikita Mazepin. Mazepin made a public apology for the inappropriate behavior and this issue will be further resolved within the Haas F1 team. The ethical principles and culture of diversity and inclusiveness in our sport are of paramount importance to the FIA and Formula 1.”

This statement was the height of hypocrisy, and FIA President Jean Todt should have thought first. Has he forgotten that Sunday, March 30, 2008, when his predecessor was exposed by the News of the World as participating in sadomasochistic sexual acts involving several women, none of whom were his wives and who were paid for the sex? News of the World published on its website a video recorded by one of the women who revealed all the details of this case to the newspaper.

Max Mosley, then President of the FIA, was absolutely right when he sued the News of the World and claimed that his sex life was his own business and what he did in his own private quarters was his own business and nothing else. And Max was right. What Nikita Mazepin does on his own territory is his own business. If someone decides to make it public, then it is this person who is wrong, and not Nikita (if anyone here may be wrong at all).

However, the FIA did not condemn Mosley at the time. Todt never made a public statement on the subject, a portrait of Max Mosley still hangs at the FIA headquarters on the Place de la Concorde in Paris, and he himself still heads the FIA Foundation. Jean Todt himself enjoyed a flamboyant sex life before marrying his wife Michelle. But it was all his own business and no one else's. As long as people do something by mutual agreement, everything they do is the private business of these people. In the same way, this is the case of Nikita Mazepin, and he himself must deal with it.

Max Mosley had a completely different attitude towards the sex life of drivers. Speaking of James Hunt, he noted: "James was just into women, but that's fine."

If something happens between people by mutual agreement, then almost any sexual activity is within the law. That being said, there is no doubt that what happened in the car happened by mutual agreement. Young people were just indulging themselves, and youthful indulgence is by no means "disgusting. " Nikita Mazepin himself decides what to do with his friends in his personal time, and this is his own business, provided that his friends agree to participate in this. In this case, they clearly agreed. The girl who was “touched” released her own statement on social media the next day, making her position very clear: “Hi people. I just want to let you know that Nikita and I are old and good friends and there is nothing serious in this video. We completely trust each other and it was just our stupid joke. I posted the video in his stories as an inside joke. I'm truly sorry." If anyone had any doubts, she added: "I can give you my word that he is a really good person and he will never do anything that could hurt me or humiliate me."

And that should be the end of it. But no, Gunther Steiner decided to pull the cat's tail. He only made matters worse the following week when he told reporters, “We take this very seriously. I just want to assure you that we will look into this incident. I will not go into details of what exactly we will do and how we will act, but we will definitely understand what happened. I don't want to divulge exactly how we're doing this. I guess I'll ask the public to respect our privacy. That's what we'll do next week when I get back to the office. There is no point in doing anything right now because we need to keep things clear so that I can give an objective assessment. And you may never even know what we will do and what the consequences will be, because I will keep them secret.

He added: “I have to remain objective and get all the details before making any decision. I don't think it's my personal reaction. My first reaction was: "I will look into this matter and I will not react in any way." Because I need to stay objective. So I shouldn't react to it. I need to collect the facts, talk to people, talk to the participants in the events and find out how everything happened. Then I can rate. At the moment this does not concern me personally. I can't show personal emotions, because then I won't be objective anymore. I need to be objective in every way in this case."

Whatever the outcome, Formula 1 cannot afford to lose a personality like Nikita Mazepin.

He is a fighter and fights for position on the track even when he has a bad car and bad tires.

    Bad guy. He's also a punk #1

    Entertainment

Sex Pistols is probably more logical to attribute to social phenomena than musical ones. The legendary punks were strongly influenced by the Ramones, which stirred up America in the mid-70s ... Of course, when we hear the Sex Pistols, we immediately imagine the ragamuffin and main bastard of those years - Sid Vicious. John Simon Rich - that's his real name - was born on May 10, 1957 years old. The mother raised Sid alone, often dabbled in drugs and was not against similar addictions of her child. On December 1, 1976, the Sex Pistols loudly declared themselves on the air of the Today program. They came to replace the legendary band Queen - which at the last moment refused to come to the program. John Rotten, the band's vocalist, threw a three-story mat over everything and everyone on the air, causing a strong reaction from the explosive youth of England. Law enforcement agencies, in turn, banned a couple of concerts. This happened even before Sid joined the group. In punk circles, Vicious was known very well, he was a terrible lawless person. Once Sid was arrested for violent behavior right at one of the concerts, when he was still an ardent fan of the Sex Pistols. In a complete frenzy, he threw a beer mug onto the stage, but missed and hit a pole. Fragments of the mug flew into the spectator's face. He once lashed out and beat a music journalist with a bicycle chain. It was such a person that the group needed to embody complete anarchy. And here is February 15, 19At the age of 77, Sid receives an invitation to become a bass player in his favorite band. As his bandmates later recalled, he was an absolutely failed musician, he is the only member of the group who could not play anything. But on stage he had no equal. Sid ran around the stage and hit the fans on the head with a guitar. Eternally stoned, torn and dirty, he was really Punk No. 1. And when he met Nancy Spaggen, who later became his girlfriend, the hope that he would “crack off” disappeared forever from all members of the group. Nancy sat on a needle no weaker than Sid himself. June 15, 19On the 77th, the already insanely popular Sex Pistols played perhaps the most daring concert in their history. On a rented boat, they sailed down the Thames, bawling: “Anarchy in the United Kingdom” is, one might say, the calling card of the group, of course, not counting “God Save the Queen”, which Q magazine recognized as the most driving song of that time. And on the cover of this record, the queen was depicted with retouched eyes and mouth. The British nation could not endure such an insult, and the first edition of the record was completely destroyed. Upon arrival at the pier, the "rebels" were arrested for violating public order. The group broke up on January 14, 1978 years old, having existed for only 3 years, having made as much noise in music and society as many bands that have been playing for decades fail to achieve. And already in October, the sweet union of Nancy and Sid is interrupted by the death of Nancy. Remembering nothing, Punk #1 woke up in a hotel room to find his girlfriend stabbed to death in the bathroom. He did not deny his guilt, and later said that he killed her because of great love. The legendary Sid died of an overdose in his New York apartment on February 2, 1979. His mother helped him acquire a lethal dose of heroin. He was 21 years old. Having barely lived to adulthood, Punk No. 1 managed to become a standard, anarchy and a bad guy who sends the whole society and all its foundations to hell. Subsequently, such a phrase even appeared: “Live beautifully - die quickly.” Finding happiness in heroin and alcohol, Vicious tested this happiness formula on himself, and, apparently, it worked.
