A fairy tale about a princess, memory and love - a short bedtime story

In a certain kingdom there lived a king and he had a daughter, whom he loved very much and always spoiled. The princess grew up cheerful, kind, but she loved to do everything in her own way.

Once she wanted to see the capital of a neighboring state, but her father was against it. Then she secretly escaped from the palace and went there alone.

Her path ran through a large dark forest.

She was riding along the path when the robbers attacked her, they surrounded her, but then several horsemen appeared on the road, led by a handsome young man. They came to the aid of the princess and drove off the robbers.

The young man jumped off his horse and approached the princess. He confessed to her that he liked her at first sight and that he was the prince of this country. The young man invited her to stay a little in his castle. The princess gladly accepted his invitation.

For a whole week there were balls and carnivals in the castle. The princess really liked this country and she decided to accept the offer and marry the prince. She sent a letter to her father about it. After some time, she received an answer in which the king asked her to come and officially introduce the groom to him. Delighted, the lovers hurried to the palace, where the king was waiting for them.

When they arrived they were met by a very angry king, who had been very worried about his daughter all this time, he declared that he would never marry his daughter to a prince and ordered him to be seized and put out of the kingdom.

The princess burst into tears and promised to run away again. Then the king summoned the supreme magician, who cast a spell on the princess. She lost all memories of her meeting with the prince and healed as before.

The prince, having returned to his country, was very homesick for the princess. He wrote letters to her every day, but received no response. Completely desperate, he convened a council, at which it was decided to go to war against the kingdom in which the princess lived and thus force the king to give her to him as his wife.

On the appointed day, the troops of both kingdoms gathered. They lined up opposite each other, ready to attack at the first order. The king and prince rode out to meet each other. The prince began to beg the king to give him the princess, but the king was adamant, then the prince asked the king just for a minute to meet her. The king allowed him this because he knew that the princess had forgotten him.

The prince rode up to the princess, but she acted as if she was seeing him for the first time, then the prince kissed her in desperation. Immediately thunder rumbled, and the spell dissipated - the princess remembered everything.

Holding hands, they approached the king and both fell to their knees, but the king was still angry. He said that he would give permission for the wedding if the prince could defeat his army. Then the prince rose and made a speech to the troops of the king, he asked the soldiers to lower their weapons and surrender and promised that no one would die. The soldiers sympathized with the lovers, and lowered their weapons, admitting defeat.

The king was very angry, but he had no choice but to acknowledge the victory of the prince. The princess embraced her father in joy and asked, as a wedding gift, not to punish the soldiers who refused to fight. The king forgave everyone and gave his blessing for the wedding.

A fairy tale about a beautiful princess and a talking cat
Author: Iris Revue

Once upon a time there was a princess. And her name was Milanta. She lived in the palace, along with her mother, father and other people who made royal life a celebration.

Milanta was a real princess: beautiful, graceful, well-mannered and a little capricious. She loved to dance, walk in the royal garden, and in the evenings look at the starry sky. It seemed to Milante that the life of stars is full of secrets and mysterious events. And mysterious events have always attracted her.

But, unfortunately, nothing mysterious happened in her life. And then one day, when the king and queen went to distant relatives, the princess went for a walk. She was followed by aunts, nannies and Milanta's favorite cat, Ganek.

The aunts and nannies fell behind while talking, and Milanta, tired of the walk, decided to sit down on a pretty stump. Not far from her, in the tall grass, the true friend of the princess, the cat Ganek, hid.

And suddenly the stump on which Milanta was sitting jumped up and the princess was on the ground. The next moment, a gnome appeared. He held out his hand to the princess and helped her up off the ground.

“Excuse me, beautiful princess,” he said, “my stumps have gone wild this year. Either they play catch-up, or they jump above their heads.

Princess Milanta looked with interest at the dwarf, who had cheerful, but somehow eccentric eyes. The dwarf's name was Ossi, he himself told the princess his name. And at the same time he told her what an unusual country he lives in.

Country Gnome is a wonderful country. And the sun in it is not yellow, the color of simple dandelions, but orange, the color of fragrant oranges. The trees in the land of the Dwarves go to bed at night. Bananas grow on trees instead of cones, and lemons grow on pine trees. In the country of Dwarves, you can take wings and fly a little. In the evening, you can watch how squirrels are embroidering with a cross, and listen to how hares buzz, imitating flies. In the country of the Dwarfs, rain can go from top to bottom, or maybe from bottom to top. As he pleases!

Princess Mylta laughed heartily as she listened to Ossi the Dwarf's stories. She really wanted to visit this wonderful country. After all, she loved everything unusual and mysterious! And she almost decided to visit the charming country, but then her beloved cat Ganek appeared and in a simple human voice told her that it was best for the princess to return home!

- Ganek! Milanta was amazed. When did you learn to speak like a human?

- I have always been able to do it, I just kept silent, because there was no special need.
