This means the ability to find material suitable for the child's various activities, for his games, exercises and improvement of the organs of external senses, as well as for the development of his observation of the surrounding life and nature. This material must be accessible to his mind and heart and must strengthen his health.

Print educational cards for the development of observation

Lack of attention and inability to concentrate on a task for a long time is a distinctive feature of modern children. The ever-accelerating pace of life and excessive interest in the media play a significant role in this. The child does not have time to follow the flashing frames and gets used to the rapid and superficial assimilation of information.

Children can (and want to!) focus only on what interests them at the moment. A child can carefully listen to his favorite fairy tale at least a hundred times in a row. From this follows a logical conclusion - to train attentiveness, perseverance, diligence and concentration of attention should only be interesting tasks.

Tasks from the "Find and show" series are an adapted version of Wimmelbuch for children - separate thematic sheets with search elements, "find, show, count or color" tasks.

How to make reusable toys for kids

It does not take much effort and time to make regular manuals printed in offset in a printing house or printed on a printer reusable. Everything is elementary. So, you can use:

  • Files for A4 development cards. Preferably smooth, glossy, as dense as possible.
  • The tighter corners are even better, you just need to find one that is completely transparent and not too slippery.
  • If you print a lot of worksheets with developmental tasks for children at once and combine them into a single manual, folders with inserts.
  • Special reusable folders for benefits are a good option, but too expensive, sometimes not even 10, but 100 times (!!!) more expensive than their budget counterpart - regular files, corners and insert folders.
  • For development boards other than A4, larger or smaller, you can use adhesive tape (for small parts) and self-adhesive covers for textbooks.
  • The Laminator, along with a color printer, is an essential item for a sensible and economical family that uses printed jobs for their children.
  • Once you have laminated/strengthened the worksheets for children, look for the best marker to work with these developments. Ordinary alcohol can be poorly erased, water can write poorly and collect in droplets. Whiteboard markers are ideal, any are good: both expensive and cheap.

  8. What is wrong?

Drawing up a story based on a series of plot pictures develops speech, logic, thinking, observation, enriches vocabulary and provokes a serious thought process.

One of the basic aspects of preparing a child for school is the formation of coherent and understandable, logical speech in a preschooler.

Monologue speech is especially important in preparing for school, because preschoolers use mainly dialogues.

Compiling a story based on a series of split plot pictures seems to be a more difficult, but much more interesting task for preschoolers than a story based on one static picture. In the case of a series of pictures, you can use a larger number of different verbs in different tenses, more descriptive phrases.

Such pictures also have a positive effect on logical thinking : after all, you need to establish the correct sequence of actions.

fine motor skills involved : cutting pictures.

How to use cards to make up a story based on pictures

  • print out a card,
  • explain to the child the task and ask the child to first cut the story pictures along the dotted line,
  • if the child likes to cut and glue, you can offer to stick the pictures in the correct order on a blank sheet paper (otherwise you can skip this item and simply lay out the pictures in a logical order on the table),
  • the most interesting thing: let the child try to compose a story according to the plot pictures.

Drawing up a story based on the series of pictures "Seasons"

These illustrations are more difficult to compose a story, since the story itself will be more descriptive: fewer verbs, more adjectives.

Note: the author of the illustrations is unknown, taken from open sources. If you know the artist, please write in the comments or through the Contacts page so that you can give credit!

Seasons

What's what?

Pictures can be cut out. The task of the child is to arrange the correct order and make up a story based on a series of pictures.

Stories in pictures

After cutting the pictures along the dotted lines, invite the child to put the pictures in sequence and make up a story based on them.

The game contributes to the development of fantasy, coherent speech, logical thinking, observation and attention.

If the child fails to compose a plot story

If the child's story is jerky, meager, poor in prepositions and adjectives, without using bright figurative phrases, help him.

You can use leading questions:

  • how many characters are in the picture?
  • what does he/they look like? What are they wearing, what is their mood?
  • what is he/they doing?
  • what time of day, season in the picture?
  • Did you like the picture? Is the hero good or bad? Would you befriend him/them?

Suggest, in turn, also to compose a story based on a series of plot pictures. Try: the story should turn out bright and exciting, like a fiction writer! The child should feel the difference .

Then child tries again compiling a story using the same cards (if not tired).
