We on the bus

The Wheels on the Bus Lyrics With Alternative Verses

The classic children’s song, “The Wheels on the Bus” is a traditional American folk song written in the 1930’s by Verna Hills of Boston, MA. The song was based on the nursery rhyme “Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush”, and actually shares the same tune. The lyrics have changed a few times over the years, and new actions, such as wiping the windows and the engine going vroom, were added.

Below you’ll find all the versions of this song that we could find. Feel free to reach out if we’ve missed one!

Here we are sitting in the bus
And we are sitting and we are sitting
And we are looking out of the window
We are all looking!
Looking back, looking ahead
Like this, like this
Well, the bus is not lucky
Not lucky?
The wheels are spinning
Like this, like this
We rolled forward
Like this!
And the brushes rustle on the glass
Whack-whack-whack, whack-whack-whack
All the droplets want to sweep away
Whack-whack-whack!
And we're sitting around for a reason
Beep-beep-beep, Beep-beep-beep,
We're all humming loud and loud
Beep-beep-beep!
Let the bus shake us
That's it, that's it
We're going, we're moving forward
That's it!

Two kittens come out.

1 kitten:

The two of us are mischievous
We behaved badly:

We ate porridge badly.

2 kitten:

We played, dabbled,
And now we are lost.
How can we get home?

Child "conductors" hand out tickets that match the shape and color of the geometric shapes on the backs of the chairs that make up the bus.

Leader and children:

The bus is rushing to Kiskino! (they rule)
We are passing Blizkino! (looking to the right)
We are passing Miskino! (looks to the left)

My dear,
More than anyone else in the world
I love you!
On your wrinkles
I'll run my hand...
In the whole world there is no
Grandmother like that.
I will never
upset you.
Just be healthy,
My grandmother!”

Presenter:

Our holiday today is cheerful,
So let's hurry up
We will affectionately sing a song

How many miracles he hides!
But what is going on behind the window?
Let's stop the bus for a bit!

Animals come out: Hedgehog, Bear, Wolf, Fox, Bird, Hare.

Narrator:

In the forest at the edge of the forest
Animals gathered.
And they began to think and guess.
"How are we going to congratulate moms?"

Saved two apples from summer for mom.
I will present them on this bright day.

Bear:

I shook it from a raspberry bush in the summer.
And I saved my dear mommy for the holiday.

Wolf:

You, my mother, a gift from your son
Today I molded from plasticine.
We don't have a live ram in the forest.
I'll serve you this for dinner!

Fox:

I found a mirror in the grove under the Christmas tree.
I admired him as much as I could!
But I'd rather give it to my mother - a beauty,
Let her look into it and like herself!

Birdie:

And I found a spike in the field.
I saved it for mom - titmouse!

Hare:

I grew a cabbage sprout myself.
Let mom crunch, I'll give it to her!

Beloved, and lovely, and glorious such!

I don't understand how it happened,
That I lost kittens.
Where did not look for them!
Why did you run away from home?
Maybe you met them?

Presenter:

Yes, here they are!

Kittens run up to the Cat.

1 kitten:

Forgive us, mother - Cat,
We have been guilty a little!

We will sing a song for you,
And congratulations on Women's Day!

Music sounds, children take gifts prepared for their mothers and stand in a semicircle.”

Cat:

You did not try in vain,
You did a great job!
Well done, we'll tell you!
Congratulate your moms!

Children present gifts to mothers.

Host: Guys, do you know that your mothers are really the most caring, and today you will be convinced of this again. They also have a gift for you. Which? And this “cheerful broom” will help us find out about this.

Game "Merry broom"

Joyful music sounds. Moms stand around the kitchen utensils and with the words
“You fly, cheerful broom, further, hand by hand. Whoever has a broom left will show us a fairy tale! pass each other a broom. With the end of the music, mother, in whose hands is a broom, takes one of the objects. Thus, the participants in the staging of the fairy tale "Teremok in a new way" are selected. Poems that need to be said to mothers are attached to the bottoms of the dishes.

Presenter:

There is a miracle tower,
It is not low, not high.
Who lives in it,
He is known as an assistant.
To collect assistants
You need to beat the fairy tale.

Like a frying pan running across the field.
She, cast iron, hurries to the tower.
She can't wait to become a helper.
She began knocking persistently on the door.

Mom with a frying pan in her hands is knocking on the tower.

Host: Who is there?

Frying pan:

I am a frying pan, let me into the teremok!
I am of excellent quality
I bake pancakes perfectly!

Host (opens the door to the tower): Come in, let's try your pancakes.

Mom, with a frying pan in her hands, sits on a chair next to the tower.

Presenter:

There is noise on the path - the pan is in a hurry to us.
Loudly strums its lid so famously.

Mom, with a saucepan in her hands, approaches the house.

Saucepan:

Look at me,
Let me into the house!
I will serve you faithfully and faithfully,
Soups, and cabbage soup, and porridge for everyone to cook!

Host:

Come visit us soon,
We are glad to have such guests.

Mom sits next to the house with a saucepan in her hands.

Presenter:

A ladle gallops briskly across the field on a thin leg.

Mother, with a ladle in her hands, approaches the house.

Ladle:

What kind of house?
I'll knock on it once! (Knocks)
Let me in the tower,
And use it in the kitchen!

Presenter:

We can't do without you,
Come in, sit down in the tower.

Mom sits next to the tower with a ladle in her hands.

Moderator: Sieve hurries across the field, runs.
She stopped at the door and screamed.

Mom with a sieve in her hands comes to the house.

Sieve:

I can't sit still!
I'll sift everything, filter it!
Let me into the teremok!

Mom with a sieve in her hands sits next to the tower.

Leader:

All helpers in place.
So let's all together
Let's fry and boil,
And feed our children.

Moms bring a birthday cake or a cake baked by themselves from the house on a tray.
