Lyrics:
We are the dinosaurs, marching, marching
We are the dinosaurs
Whaddaya think of that?
We are the dinosaurs, marching, marching
We are the dinosaurs
We make the earth flat; we make the earth flat
We stop and eat our food when we’re in the mood
We stop and eat our food on the ground
We stop and eat our food when we’re in the mood
We stop and eat our food and then we march around
‘Cause we are the dinosaurs marching, marching
We are the dinosaurs
Whaddaya think of that?
We are the dinosaurs marching, marching
We are the dinosaurs
We make the earth flat; we make the earth flat
We stop and take a rest over in our nest
We stop and take a rest at the end of the day
We stop and take a rest over in our nest
We stop and take a rest and then you’ll hear us say
That we are the dinosaurs marching, marching
We are the dinosaurs
Whaddaya think of that?
We are the dinosaurs, marching, marching
We are the dinosaurs
We make the earth flat; we make the earth flat
And then we ROOOOOAAAAAAR!
‘Cause we are the dinosaurs!

6. The Dinosaurs Song – Big World Club
Lyrics:
They used to walk. They used to swim
They used to fly with a toothy grin
Some ate plants and some ate meat
Some walked around on just two feet
[Chorus]
Oh, the dinosaurs! Big as trees!
Dinosaurs! Brains like peas!
Jaws and claws and teeth and bone…
That used to growl, groan, and moan
Some had feathers. Some had scales
Spikes, clubs, and whip-like tails
They fought like dragons. The earth sure shook
The volcanoes sizzled and the lava cooked
[Chorus]
Tyrannosaurus Rex was a terrible king
The Stegosaurus’ tail could really swing
Brachiosaurus liked to stomp
Trachodon would chew and chomp
[Chorus]
They roamed the earth, a hundred million years…
Without worries, cares, or fears
Then one day they hit the soil…
Now they’re fossils, gas, and oil!

7. The Egg (Dinosaur Song) – Howdytoons
Lyrics:
An egg is laid and sits in a pile in a nest.
On the side of a hill,
They lie very still, and they wait.
Seeing what time will create.
An egg, it falls and rolls down the side of the hill.
Sits in the sand,
Warmed by the sun where it rests.
Far from the eggs in the nest.
An egg it cracks and out comes a baby dinosaur.
With three tiny horns,
On the day it was born it peeks out,
Wondering what this world’s about.

8. Triceratops – Netflix Jr
Image: iStock
Lyrics:
I wonder if there are friendly dinosaurs.
That one looks pretty cool.
1, 2, 3, check out my horns!
1, 2, 3, check out my horns!
I’m a triceratops all up in this place.
“Triceratops” means 3-horned face.
What do I use them for?
Scientists debate.
Maybe for defense, or to find a mate.
But I love my horns, 3 up on my grill.
I’m also really special, because I have a frill.
A frill?
Yeah, a frill! You heard what I said.
It’s a plate of bone on top of my head.
Cool!
Sorta looks like a crown — I’m a king of a kind.
Hey, I’m the kind of the dinos, and I’m hungry!
Never mind!
The T-Rex would eat me if he had the chance,
but I’m a herbivore, I only eat plants.
Got hundreds of teeth to chew my veggie food.
Got a small, pointy tail, but I’m a big dude.
I move pretty slow and got hooves on my feet.
But check it, c’mon, these horns are pretty sweet, right?
1, 2, 3, check out my horns!
1, 2, 3, check out my horns!
1! 2! 3!
Check out his horns!
1! 2! 3!
I wish I had a horn.
Here you go.

Then there were three.
Three huge dinosaurs
Eating tiger stew–
One went away, and
Then there were two.
Two huge dinosaurs

Afraid to be a hero
He went away,

12. Apatosaurus (Dinosaur Song) – StoryBots
Lyrics:
We are now in the Jurassic Period.
Look at that tall tree.
That’s not a tree…
My neck’s so long
And my neck’s so strong
I can bounce my head up and down
While I’m rapping my song
Wassup…I’m an Apatosaurus
I’m the biggest thing in this whole forest
Got a long, long, long, long neck–
Don’t get it twisted
I’m one of the biggest animals that ever existed
When I walk it sounds like thunder
Is there anyone bigger than me? I wonder…
T-Rex? (Nope.)
Triceratops? (No.)
Velociraptors? (No, you could squash us with your toe!)
That’s right, I’m the biggest, nobody wants to fight
Nobody’s at my height, or in my eyesight
I can whip my long tail to scare others away
I can live to be a hundred years old (Happy Birthday!)
I eat plants and eat rocks to help me digest
Got nostrils on my head, big heart inside my chest
But the part that’s best, gotta give me respect
Got a long long long long long long neck!
My neck’s so long
And my neck’s so strong
I can bounce my head up and down
While I’m rapping my song
Her neck is long
And her neck is strong
We can bounce our heads up and down
While we’re rapping this song
Dinosaur elevator going up.
Good thing we are not afraid of heights.
Speak for yourself…!

13. Dinosaur Lullaby – Juny Tony
Lyrics:
Nighty night!
Sleep tight!
My little one!
The sun has gone down to the sea at night,
And the stars come up and wink at us.
Hushabye, rockabye baby, close your eyes.
Fall into a blissful sleep
You must be careful of dangerous hunters everywhere.
But don’t be scared of them.
You are strong.
You must be careful of strong dinosaurs everywhere.
But don’t be weak my baby.
You are brave.
You, remember these stars and the wind.
Enjoy your life, I’m by your side.

Top 20 dinosaur movies
This top of the best films about dinosaurs and monsters like them includes exciting fantasy about the ancient world, spectacular horrors, and family adventure cartoons, but there is at least one reptile in each picture of the list. What could be better than watching a huge prehistoric lizard trample cities and eat humans? All problems seem so small at once. On the other hand, there are several ways to keep your young paleontologists busy for a couple of hours, and to relax yourself - so as not to become fossils ahead of time. nine0003
My pet dinosaur

Starts top science fiction film dedicated to the Loch Ness monster. This mystical relative of the plesiosaur haunts people, according to legend, since the time of the Romans, and the first written mention of it dates back to the 6th century. For one and a half thousand years, scientists have not found a single evidence of the existence of a mythical creature. All photos and videos that allegedly show a monster are explained either by the movements of water, or by a giant worm more than ten meters in length (a dinosaur is better), or by floating logs or shipwrecks. In general, the scientific community does not believe in Nessie, but cryptozoologists do not leave hopes. This film is a fantasy about the origin of the famous underwater monster, in which Nessie's name is not Nessie at all, but Crusoe. nine0003
During World War II, Angus finds an egg on the shore of a Scottish lake and hides it in a barn. Soon, Angus hatches a cute creature that looks like a mixture of a plesiosaur and a giraffe. The newborn monster is named Crusoe. Angus realizes that keeping Crusoe in the barn will not work: the cub needs space and water. So Crusoe moves to the bathroom, and then to Loch Ness. The friendship between Angus and Crusoe helps the former to survive the separation from his father, who has gone to the front, and the latter to survive. But the happiness of children and animals is of little concern to the military, for whom the dinosaur does not look like a cute pet and a kind creature. So while the young plesiosaur proves that not all giant reptiles love human flesh, people once again prove their natural cruelty and show who is the real monster in this world. nine0003

Non-fiction mini-series from the BBC in six episodes. The first series starts from a time point of two hundred and twenty million years ago, and by the last series, viewers will move forward one hundred and fifty-five million years. In general, almost the entire Mesozoic comes out. This show shows dozens of species of animal lizards, all kinds of saurs, as well as sea turtles, squids, wasps, mosquitoes and funny marsupials and squirrels. "Walks" were such a success on TV that the BBC quickly washed down several sequels, including "The Ballad of Big Al" (Big Al, scientists called the allosaurus, the skeleton of which is considered the best preserved of those found: the remains of this giant retained traces of two dozen intravital injuries, based on which they wrote the script for Al's life), "Walks with sea monsters" and a film about the times before the dinosaurs. nine0003
Despite the fact that the film was released in the last century, the special effects look decent today.

Premiere: 2011
Production: Great Britain
Genre: Documentary, animated film
Creator: Nigel Paterso Rating Cinema Preach Water: 8. 2
nine0010 8.2
Another six-episode from the BBC. The earliest period shown here is one hundred and fifty million years ago, the latest is again sixty-five. One of the episodes is entirely devoted to feathered dinosaurs, another to perfect late killers like Troodon, and another to giants like the prehistoric crocodile or Argentinosaurus.
In 2012, a remake of this mini-series was released in a movie format that focuses only on predators. The best way to spend time in the company of your favorite lizards. nine0003
Dinosaur Invasion
Premiere: 2006
Production: South Korea
Genre: horror, science fiction, thriller
Creator: PON Dzhun-Ho (Parasites, Snow Snow. "")
KinoPoisk rating: 6.5
IMDb rating: 7.1
The recently legendary South Korean director, as it turned out, is also a bit of a paleontologist at heart. Although in fact there is no classic dinosaur in this film, but the political subtext is unambiguous. The film's opening scene, in which the US military orders a toxic substance to be poured into a river, is based on a true story, and the rest of the movie makes the Korean government look bad. nine0003
Plot: Toxic waste in the river has led to the appearance of an aggressive monster. Outwardly, this is a mutant, similar to the bastard demogorgon and chameleon from Rapunzel. Moreover, the character of the little animal definitely went to the first. The monster devours one member of the extras after another, and then switches to the family members of the protagonist - a forty-year-old man with dementia. But Pong Joon-ho did not stop at these dramatic notes and added to the script a virus that spreads the creature, and a lobotomy that leads to unexpected consequences, and the epic throwing of a monster with a Molotov cocktail, and the Korean Katniss Everdeen. Great attraction for spectators. nine0003

Brendan Fraser knows how to approach extinct killers. But, apparently, the mummies have become dry for him, and now this brutal hunter in antiquity has chosen more colorful dinosaurs as rivals. To be honest, there are not so many of them in the film: there are mauisaurs (underwater creatures that seriously claim to be the largest marine reptiles in history) and giganotosauves (a predator similar to a Tirex). nine0003
The plot of the picture is based on the work of Jules Verne and tells about the adventures of Professor Trevor Anderson and his nephew Sean in Iceland. The heroes try to find Max, Trevor's brother and Sean's father, but instead of the missing researcher, they find an underground world inhabited by prehistoric creatures and other dangerous predators.

Another popular science film that tells about all sorts of flying creatures. Not about mosquitoes, of course, but about pterosaurs. Cool modern effects, juicy picture and many interesting facts about the rulers of the Mesozoic sky. One of the highest-grossing films in history and one of NASA's most credible sci-fi films. And, obviously, one of the most recognizable films in this top.
Scientists have figured out how to grow dinosaurs using genetic engineering, ancient mosquitoes and frogs. The composition of the product is questionable, but competent marketing can work wonders. For reptiles recreated in laboratories, a tourist park is created and a special group is invited to inspect it. nine0003
The creator of the park, his two grandchildren, three scientists and a lawyer go on a road trip through the world of dinosaurs. Scientists immediately warn the adventurous creator that the resurrection of huge reptiles is a dangerous and stupid undertaking. Nature cannot be restrained by some kind of fences, especially when the park staff is not distinguished by decency. As a result, a harmless safari on a picturesque island turns into a manhunt. The best dinoattraction of cinema, which received as many as three Oscars: for the best sound, best sound editing and best special effects. nine0003

In the sequel, it turns out that the abandoned dinosaurs did not die out in paradise conditions and successfully continue to breed. We have to go to the island again, though already to the neighboring one - the fantastic creatures decided to expand the places where they live. By the way, the first part of the adventure does not teach the human heroes anything: both women and children will visit the huge reptiles for lunch again. Yes, okay - the main thing is that the lizards eat. nine0003

Premiere: 2001
Production: USA
Genre: Adventures, fiction, militant
Director: Joe Johnston (Jumanji, First Avenger)
Screenplay: Peter Buchman
Cast: Sam Neill, William H. Macy, Tea Leoni, Trevor Morgan
A lot has changed in the third installment of the franchise. First, Spielberg left. Secondly, unlike the older brothers, this film is not based on a book by American science fiction writer Michael Crichton. Third, Sam Neill returned as Alan Grant. And finally, a new villain: the tyrannosaurus was removed from its pedestal.
There are few changes in the plot. The location of the second film is preserved, and the returned Alan Grant is sent to the wild world of dinosaurs with a research expedition. The trip is financed by parents whose son is lost somewhere on the island. So the kids will play the hunger games again. The ratings of the film have dropped significantly compared to the previous parts, but there is still something to watch. At least for a powerful fight between spino and tyrannosaurus rex, it's practically Khabib vs. McGregor in the world of reptiles. nine0003

The Spielberg franchise has been alive for almost three decades. Five years ago, the fourth film in the universe with a title shortened by one letter was released, and the sixth Jurassic period is planned soon. By the way, while everyone is wondering if the second "Avatar" will be able to destroy Tony Stark's team at the box office, remember that "Jurassic World" takes an honorable sixth place in the top of the highest grossing cinema films. nine0003
The creator of the park died a long time ago and handed over the company to a businessman who understands that in twenty years the dinosaurs on a secluded island have managed to get fed up with everyone. Therefore, the marketing geniuses changed the name to a shorter one, stuffed the reserve with high-tech toys and, most importantly, brought out a new kind of dinosaurs. The Indominus Rex is the superboss of his world, and he doesn't even need any artifacts to break anyone and everything in his path with ease. Such entertainment attracts tourists to the renovated park, and the lizards again prove that the resurrected ancient power cannot be kept by any progress. nine0003

If there is a movie in this top that is more famous than films from the Spielberg universe, then here it is. A crocodile-like prehistoric lizard awakened by the H-bomb tests has mutated and set off to destroy Tokyo. For the first time this kaiju, in whose name the Japanese words "whale" and "gorilla" are crossed, appeared on the screens in the 50s, and since then more than thirty films (mostly Japanese) have been shot about Godzilla. And that's not counting cartoons, comics and anime. nine0003
The tape, which will be discussed now, opened the second American reboot of the original franchise. Many stars starred here (the 2017 sequel also features Mili Bobby Brown and Vera Farmiga; and the 2017 Kong, which also became part of the new series, generally gathered a whole team of guys from Marvel: Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson and Bree Larson), and the ratings of the film are not colored in red - so this particular film about Godzilla will be in this top. By the way, it was dedicated to the sixtieth anniversary of the first film about this ancient creature. nine0003
Plot: A new kaiju is announced on earth who loves to feast on radiation. The monster easily destroys fighter jets, warships and any army units, while having time to gnaw on Russian nuclear missiles as a lunch. The world is powerless against this threat, but Godzilla emerges from the ocean just in time. The lizard pursues a radioactive-addicted kaiju with the express intention of once again becoming the only giant monster on the planet. But the defender of humanity will have an unpleasant surprise: his opponent will not fight alone. nine0003
Trailer:
Why the legendary king of monsters suddenly became a kind watchdog is not explained: perhaps the kaiju just got old and got used to homo-not-too-sapiens like a grouchy neighbor pensioner. But whatever the nature of this new-old Godzilla, his appearance in this film left even old-time fans satisfied.

The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Arthur Conan Doyle, but there will be no Sherlock Holmes. The film was made for TV, not the big screen, and received BAFTA and Emmy nominations for Best Visual Effects and Best Sound. The plot, however, is not too original: a fanatic professor with a speaking surname Challenger wants to prove to the scientific community that there is a miracle island in the Amazon jungle where dinosaurs live. The professor recruits a team and sets off on a journey full of dangers, adventures, discoveries and, of course, prehistoric lizards. nine0003
The highlight of the film is the visual effects. The creators used the technology that they used to create Walking with Dinosaurs, so the dinosaurs look very dignified here.

By the way, there is another film with the same name, but 2009. Will Ferrell starred in this action-adventure comedy, and it also features dinosaurs. And also time travel, super-intelligent primate and various fantastic creatures. nine0003

Ambitious journalist Adele goes on an expedition to Egypt at the beginning of the 20th century. The girl is not going to write about pyramids and national cuisine: her goal is to revive the mummy of an ancient healer in order to save her sister's life. But while Adele was choking on sand and riding camels, Professor Esperandier, whose help the journalist really counted on, ended up behind bars. The government did not like the experiments of a scientist medium, which led to the birth of a real pterodactyl from a fossilized egg. The winged archosaur quickly adapted to the new living conditions and quickly realized that noisy bipeds are a great snack. In general, now, in order to revive her new long-dead friend, Adele will have to pretend to be a lawyer, a nurse, a nun and a security guard. And these are not role-playing games, but desperate attempts to organize the medium's escape from prison. nine0003
The film is based on the comic book and Luc Besson emphasized this as well as he could. Sometimes the grotesque characters of the characters, bright costumes, make-up and saturation of the picture resemble the fabulous films of Wes Anderson, but unlike the latter, fantastic things really happen in the plot. However, this movie was compared with the works of Tim Burton, with "Indiana", "Adele", "The Mummy" and "Jurassic Park". There were even mentions of Tarantino's gangster chaos and the lyrics of Titanic. All this says only one thing: this film is like no other, and it is worth watching. nine0003

One of the best cartoons about dinosaurs, which has an instructive plot, cute characters, and about ten detailed species of ancient reptiles. This tape is designed in the spirit of Walt Disney (although it had nothing to do with it): a little dinosaur's mother dies, he is cut off from other relatives and goes on a dangerous journey with friends in search of a new home. Baby Bambi comes to mind not by chance: Steven Spielberg, who participated in the creation of the cartoon and washed down his "Park" a little later, wanted "The Land Before Time" to be a prehistoric version of the famous deer story. nine0003
Of the dinosaurs in the cartoon, there is an apatosaurus (with a long neck and a long tail), a triceratops (a three-horned rhinoceros), a saurolophus (a duck-billed one-horned and on two legs) and a stegosaurus (a long-tailed and arched spiked back). And from the air they are covered by a small charming pterodactyl. And that's just the main characters. By the way, they are all vegetarians, but the classic villain of the genre, the hungry tyrannosaurus rex, will hunt them.

The plot of this movie is based on real scientific research. Seventy million years ago, North America began to become covered with ice, and herbivores had to migrate hundreds of kilometers in search of food. One of these migrants turned out to be the Edmontosaurus Scar, and this guy has nothing to do with the namesake lion with the Claudius fratricide syndrome. Dinosaur Scar is just an unfortunate baby who was left alone during the migration and had to fight for life in a world where no one thought about social support for orphans. nine0003
The second main character is the predator Patch. His relatives do not change their place of residence, but their food is actively leaving their familiar environment, so toothy reptiles will also have to starve and arrange fierce fights for every piece of meat. And this is in conditions of constant darkness and cold.
It is difficult to call this animated encyclopedia a cartoon: the dinosaurs here look very realistic, the creators brought their behavior and appearance closer to the requirements of the popular science genre than to a children's cartoon. So the 12+ rating is quite justified: in the world of these reptiles, the strongest survive, and there is no time to suffer for the losers. nine0003

Aladar is an unusual dinosaur. With an egg, this guy made a long journey from a safe nest to a remote jungle island inhabited by lemurs, and as a result, a family of these fluffy cuties came out of a huge lizard. But the idyll did not last long: the paradise island was destroyed by a fallen meteorite, and only Aladar and four lemurs survived. While looking for a home, an interspecies family encounters a pack of dinosaurs who are also looking for a place to live normally. The leader of the pack mercilessly drives his wards forward, not caring about the fate of the lagging behind old people and children. But Aladar and the lemurs are used to living by other laws and are ready to challenge the merciless system. nine0003

A very touching and sweet film about a sentient reptile who has adopted a naughty four-legged pet: a caveman.
A whole alternative universe is built in the cartoon: the asteroid did not fall to Earth, the dinosaurs did not die out, but on the contrary, they evolved. Many lead a farming lifestyle, building their homes and growing crops. The dinosaur Arlo suffers greatly in the shadow of the success of his brother and sister, nothing comes of the hero, and the disappointment of his parents develops serious complexes in the green long-necked. Arlo's psychological state is even more traumatized by the tragic death of his father, who sacrificed his life for his son. Feelings of guilt, accumulated aggression, fears and overwhelming anxiety are too much for one child. Therefore, Arlo finds the last one - a small caveman who steals the family's crop supplies. Trying to take revenge on the hairy monster for all the injustices of the world, Arlo gets into serious trouble and finds himself very far from home. Now his only friend is the same cave child, who will soon have a nickname - Druzhok. nine0003
Dinosaurs have been scientifically proven to exist, but these ancient reptiles have ferocious fantasy cousins. In the last two films of the list, you can look at fire-breathing monsters, in the existence of which scientists do not believe. But sometimes it's good to add some magic to this world. Well, this top, too, it will not hurt.

The green landscapes of untouched nature fascinate the family, but they will not have shared memories of this journey: the car overturns, and Pete's parents die. The boy runs even deeper into the forest and stumbles upon a green furry dragon. Yes, this winged cat-dog does not look like Drogon and Balerion, but real ancient wisdom is felt behind the bright coat and cute muzzle of the dragon. Pete names his friend Elliot, and together they get along pretty well in the thicket. Civilization spoils everything as always: deforestation leads to the separation of the orphan from Elliot, and the latter's life is in danger. nine0003

Completes the top brutal movie with a testosterone cast. Cinematography for meeting characters with dragons usually chooses the scenery of the Middle Ages, but in this film, the Middle Ages comes in the 21st century. During the construction of the subway, the workers awaken the dragons, and soon the evil reptiles take over the Earth. By the way, in the universe of this film, the dinosaurs were also destroyed by dragons, after which they got tired and hibernated for a long time. These days, the military tried to exterminate the flying lizards with nuclear weapons, but it didn't work. Apparently, even the experienced dragon mother Clarke could not cope, because the remnants of humanity are hiding in the ruins of castles and just want to outlive the dragons. Well, those that for millions of years safely slept somewhere deep in the earth and easily exterminated the dinosaurs. Nothing bothers Christian Bale in this regard, but, fortunately, the more militant McConaughey comes to the rescue and declares that the reptiles can be defeated. Now the heroes are waiting for a suicidal mission to the dragon's lair and an epic battle with the firelords. nine0003

A rare fossil has been discovered in southern China: a dinosaur embryo ready to hatch from an egg. The researchers were struck by the posture that this prehistoric baby took: it was previously believed that such a feature of embryonic development is inherent only in bird embryos.
Scientists have long known that modern birds are direct descendants of dinosaurs. Now, a fresh analysis of a beautifully preserved fossilized dinosaur embryo confirms this evolutionary connection. nine0003
It all started when Liang Liu, director of the Chinese mining company Yingliang Group, bought a fossilized dinosaur egg in 2000. During the construction of the Yingliang Stone Museum of Natural History in the 2010s, the fossil was rediscovered, and within it was found... a remarkably complete fossil embryo.
A 72 to 66 million year old embryo known as "Baby Yingliang" was found in Late Cretaceous rocks in the Ganzhou region of southern China. Apparently, it was an Oviraptorosaurus, which belonged to the family of feathered dinosaurs. nine0003
The egg itself is about 17 centimeters long, while the body of the embryo in an erect state reaches 27 centimeters in length ... And it is precisely how the embryo curled up in the egg that is the main subject of the new study.
An international team of researchers has found that the posture of the embryo is very similar to the posture that modern avian embryos assume prior to hatching.
This preparation for birth is activated by the bird's central nervous system. Apparently, this feature of embryogenesis appeared even in dinosaurs. nine0003
Thus, the head of an oviraptorosaurus embryo was lowered down, the legs were folded along the body, and the back was arched, repeating the curve of the blunt end of the egg.

This orientation has never been seen before in non-avian dinosaur embryos.
This position is adopted by all bird embryos, and it greatly increases their chances of successful hatching - while unsuccessful hatching usually leads to their death. nine0003
This new discovery suggests that birds may have inherited this feature from theropods, the suborder of dinosaurs to which oviraptorosaurs belong.
